There is a month until free agency. If the OP said, "troubling" or he is concerned, sure, I can see some point in that. To say "bad start" is pretty unjustifiable. There is way to much time with little to no actual real news to even come close to quantifying that answer.
The past few big events that the phins have had (Bush, Marshall signing/trade, coaching search) should tell everyone that Miami's media have NO CLUE. The LOCAL media were the last to know every "big" event the past 5 years. They are all as clueless as the starter of this thread, and the poster of this post. Even the fellas on here, god love 'em, who seem to know so much, while entertaining to read, are absolutely clueless. For goodness sake, they wanted Brady Quinn, Chris Long, Brandon Graham.... the list goes on.
THIS THREAD IS A PETICULAR TOPIC AND YOU REPLIED TO A POST ON A PARTICULAR TOPIC ICE CREAM IS DELICIOUS still makes more sense than what you wrote.
Bad start indeed....Pathetic whining is starting earlier than expected.... Offseason hasnt even started yet. Are we going to hang on every little damn report like last year and act like clueless panicing chickens with our heads cut off again ? Its hard to share a team with some of yall, do you realize that ? Cry on.
We won't know what we need to know until after FA opens, really. Once our guys see what the market is for them, that's when Ireland will be willing to counter-bid. That's what we did to keep Crowder a few years back.
Technically it has satrted. Teams can make trades, and are already exploring just that. (See Percy Headache)
Sean Smith can be replaced in a half a heart beat. Starks will be signed or someone broght in to replace him. Do you realize how many really good FA are going to be on the market this year ? Both offense and Defense. There are a lot of teams up against the cap already and a lot in cap hell and forced to cut people. We are going to see more Tier A free agents then we have ever seen before. Teams looking to get under the cap are going to go shopping for the cheaper players due to the new rookie wage scale.
You have an issue with me posting "off topic" PM a mod and I'm sure they can handle it. I tried too explain I was just taking the topic to a different level. And ice cream is delicious, especially chocolate birthday batter flavor, it's the ****.
You do not elect a General. The lady of the lake, must bring forth Exalibar. Proving by divine right that he is General.
I love when someone knows my altered-references. "Come and see the violence inherent in the system! help, help, I'm being oppressed!" lol. By the way, don't use the Soliai example. I like having the spotlight and you're giving good examples I didn't think of.
Trades cannot be initiated until the start of the 2013 league year which is 4:00 pm EST March 12, 2013. Nobody from Minn. has put Harvin up for trade yet because they can't until F/A period starts. We have until 4 pm EST March 12 to sign our FA or they can go on the market at that time.
It's off to a bad start because people are getting extraordinarily silly about it very quickly and with very little information. While the team hasn't done anything.
Ah. Okay. I'm misinformed then. Thanks. I was listening to the Finsiders when they had ireland on and they said the offseason had now started, and Ireland didn't correct them, so I assumed it was true. I made an *** out of someone named Ume.
I like them resigning Clemons. While not a playmaker he is decent in coverage. I can't understand the life of me resigning Hartline unless its cheap.
"Stop fooling around and get in the dang van. NOW!" You've been told once. Don't make 'im tell ya twice.
To play devil's advocate for a moment, it's possible we bring in different WR's and they have the chemistry that Anthony Armstrong and Jabar Gaffeny had with Tannehill. Go back and watch the games and you'll see many times when Tannehill was in trouble and he knew he could get it to Hartline on that sideline comeback route. That's worth something. Especially to a young QB.
This is the time of year where I re-direct everyone to the Ladies Lounge http://www.thephins.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?9-Ladies-Lounge
I don't believe that to be true, your not taking into account fair starting points for players and coaches accepting new roles, and your creating a negative atmosphere for them to try and do their jobs,
Uhhhhh. No clue? Stringer will have to help me out there. For me it's not about what he's worth it's about getting the most talent at the best price. I think signing a top end WR, drafting a WR or 2 and going with our other young guys gives us a better shot than paying Hartline 5-6 million bc on top of his salary we'd still have to sign a number #1 IMO (too pricey). The other option is signing BH for 5-6 and adding a mid-low tier WR and hoping for the best come draft day (too risky).
I disagree, there's really no money at all being spent on the unit, Hartline and Jennings combined for about 12 mill total then add your rookie who has a high level of talent in the 2nd round.
Depending on the price I'm alright with Hartline but he isn't stellar. I'm pretty tired of him hitting the deck after he catches the ball.
hell no bro, but don't you think there can be an accumulative affect that can impact a team before they get started.? It's only my personal opinion, but I think the minds on this board, and others, but especially ours, impacts the culture of our fanbase, almost like how our horrible media writers spew constant negativity which then is translated by less knowledgable fans who are not as involved as you, or as smart about the team as you, who piggyback onto what their hearing, into a negative vibe, then those people start talking sh&$, and that when it can take over and help deteriote a fanbase.
