Buffalo pulls off their SEVENTH trade. Picking up a 5th rounder earlier for George Wilson....Buffalo trades Mark Anderson to the Chargers for a 6th rounder. In 15 minutes roughly $9 million cleared off the cap.
Ok who is all around? It's boring here in Buffalo land. Anyone who is still around post and I will look over your team and see if we can't strike a deal.
Don't we all. I am waiting to hear back on a potential 1st rounder deal...and a mid round deal. Kinda ties things up a bit...but I'm still working (ie: I'm looking at your list right now)
Gerald McCoy is now a 3-4 end? I'm not too sure he'd be happy with that. There's really no nice way to say that was a bad move, turing a penetrating Pro Bowl DT into a 5 technique end. His value just dropped significantly IMO, enough that Philly should rethink their plans to become a 3-4.
5 techs can penetrate too though, just ask your mother. Seriously though, what the heck do you think JJ Watt did? Every game of theirs I poked at he was usually playing outside shoulder of the T.
Alright....guess I'm stalled for the moment. Got a few offers out there (damn day walkers!). Unless there's someone on my team they want to trade for...I'm pretty much in a holding pattern for spending.
Exactly. You just supported my post, thanks. If you think a 300 pound DT who runs a 5.04 forty will wreak havoc coming off the outside shoulder of an OT, then I'd have to disagree, especially when there's an actual position change involved, which there is. There's a difference between what Watt does and 1 gap (3 technique) DT playing inside, and much of the developing McCoy has done through college up until this point to become a Pro Bowl 1 gap DT just went bye bye WADR.
The Bills would like to announce (Since the official thread is locked ;p): Dorin Dickerson FB ERFA $555,000 has been tendered. Donald Jones WR $1,835,000.00 RFA has been set at a 2nd Round Tender Colin Brown C will not be tendered David Nelson WR will not be tendered
Not sure if serious? I can name a few off the top of my head... Richard Seymour? Aaron Smith? Darnell Dockett? JJ Watt? Not sure what you're idea of a 3-4 DE size and speed would be... I'd enjoy hearing it... Do you expect a 3-4 end to run a 4.5? Still mad about the ***** jokes? Because I can delete them if you cheer the hell up around here negative nancy lmao
Not to mention he was one of the quicker linemen out of that draft (which didn't he come out of college as a 34 end?)
The Bills acquire WR Malcolm Floyd from the Chargers to complete Buffalo's NINTH (or is it my 8th? Losing track here) trade. Anyone got numbers for record trade total? ;p By the way kudo's to RickyBobby for making trades simple. I think that's 2 trades with a total of 5-6 pm's ;p Edit: Yup 9th trade.
Have you checked my team page? It's there ;p I've updated it with every trade including all salary cap #'s...it's practically anal *and there's the softball pitch* For Boik though: Trades: Acquired: Philip Rivers $17,110,000 3rd Round Pick (78) For: Stevie Johnson WR $5,650,000 Fred Jackson RB $3,643,750 2nd Round Pick (42) Acquired: Chykie Brown CB $591,140 5th Round Pick (160) For: 5th Round Pick (138) 6th Round Pick (169) Acquired: Damaris Johnson WR $480,000 For: Chris Hairston OT $658,977 Acquired: 4th Round Pick (124) Steven Johnson MLB $484,000 For: Aaron Williams CB $1,434,134 Acquired: 5th Round Pick (133) For: Zebrie Sanders OT $454,625 Torell Troup DT $1,034,370 Acquired: 5th Round Pick (149) For: George Wilson SS $4,491,667 Acquired: 6th Round Pick (171) For: Mark Anderson DE $4,500,000 Acquired: 6th Round Pick (156) For: OLB Nick Barnett $4,000,000 Acquired: Malcom Floyd WR $2,666,667 For: Kelvin Sheppard MLB $816,951
Fans in Seattle are buzzing already about the newly acquired Steve Smith. The man has torched defenses for years will now be torching defenses in Seattle
Panthers significantly upgrade they're defensive backfield with a young, physical corner, add a young WR compliment, and cut 5m in cap. We are sad to lose Steve, but hope with our picks, and more deals to come, we can try replace him with someone younger.
I have an elite CB and I have my nickel and dime CB's already. Should be something Im able to fill. Getting good WR's in this league usually is costly. This was a cost I was ok with especially considering the state of my wr's core
Ok so then hypothetically speaking the coaching staff puts McCoy at the 3... and SLB comes up to the 9 with that look. Or even moving around for looks at a 46.... McCoy slides over, and Graham or whoever comes up. Im just saying I think its ridiculous to say that Rex Ryan couldn't utilize McCoy as a 3-4 end effectively. It doesnt always have to be cut and dry.
I'm glad I got Malcolm Floyd (16TD's last 3 seasons) in before you got that deal done or it would have cost me more then Kelvin Sheppard ;p
Philip Rivers, A great 3 man rotation at DT. All I got to fill is #1 WR, #2CB, upgrade the OL and LB's and TE's a bit and I'm solid. I even have a plan for each and every one of those. I cut the fat..promoted young hungry players.
Absolutely not. Sherman graded out #2 overall and #1 vs the pass by PFF. Browner was 22nd overall and 22nd vs the pass.
