None of those guys are superstars on Brady's level. Matthews and Thomas are elite at their positions but Brady is the first HOF level player dealt.
I wouldn't call Gore/Crabtree a blockbuster trade, a noticeable one sure but not a blockbuster. Same goes with Rivers, it's a big name that's regressed and hasn't delivered a Superbowl like his peers.
In all fairness, Peyton Manning's health was a much larger concern last year, and much riskier. Although, I'd say that move paid off in hindsight
Unfortunately I don't know if he'll get a guy at #2 that'll be a game changer like Brady. So it's a win for now, as I've seen Brady go for more over the years, it's a Fins board so for whatever reason I think there's a fascination with shipping Tom away from the Patriots.
You should have been there for the offseason before when we were slinging around $30-40 million contracts at Manning. That was when the cap was a mere $80 million I think. -waves at PSG-
Yeah, UCFFinatic told me about that. I also remember hearing something about Drew Brees and crazy bidding, which is why the ERFA had to be implemented.
Getting away from Norv Turner and giving him a dynamic running back like Spiller. I think he could rebound quite nicely. Just got to find him a #1 and #2 WR now...got him a nifty little slot guy for now.
I would like to note that there is a Jacksonville connection that year. I sent AP to clear cap room, but alas the league accountants squashed the bid attempt. -tear- I wonder if Flacco will command anything crazy this year, cause he's "elite"
you bet. you pick what channel you want to be like CBS, Fox, NBC, NFLN and then you trade and swap guys, or steal announcers, personalities during FA contract negotiations. The draft is just taking newly retired players and adding them to your broadcast as sideline reporters or announcer/color commentators. I say it's pretty easy to find a black player to do the Jim Brown thing.
I assume you mean GIK. I'll look into it. Ok late nighters...hit me up with trade ideas. I'm at work all night so I'll be here. Just updated my trade block....keeping my eye out for WR's, WLB, #2CB, DE or draft picks. Since Duss isn't around and I have no idea if the Atlanta GM is coming back ;p (gotta smack the guys with no team page yet ;p )
His agent just said that he wants Flacco to be the highest paid QB in the league...wonder if it'll happen here.
That would be a mistake....but then QB's hold all the cards. FYI: SS George Wilson now on trade block for cheap.
ERFA is for young players? If you mean the Exclusive Franchise Tag it's because Griddles was more than nice enough to listen to me talk about all these little real life things the GM League didn't have so we got to try to implement.
PFT has been discussing it for a while now. They can't let Flacco be tagged for the 2 1st rounders tag...cause a qb needy team could make the trades to get 2 1st rounders and pay thru the nose to get him....so to get him exclusively the tag would be over $20 million.
I move fast Especially with PM's cause my phone gives me notice everytime I get one ;p With this trade Da'Norris Searcy is now off the trade block and will be the Bills new starting SS. I had considered trading Searcy high and going after Chris Clemons to play SS (I like his play unlike others here)....but Searcy could be something really good there and he's cheap no matter how badly I would like to get a 2nd round pick back.
Meh, I'm just to lazy to by Tapatalk from the App Store. Maybe I'll be able to get around it via my jailbreak.
I think a front 3 of Fletcher Cox, Vince Wilfork, and Gerald McCoy should do the trick starting off rebuilding this defense.
