I only have Spiller as my untouchable. Crickets in the trade department. So yah. Prior draft picks aren't doing much either. Just look at the LBs and their Corners to see that. Plus they are going to lose talent in FA. I fully expect to lose a couple guys in this league. It is what it is. Just got to make good use of FA money.
Van, it's hard to make trades without having any idea what the roster is going to look like or what the cap hit on certain players is going to be. I think you'll see a lot of moves start after the rosters are posted in a few days.
Bills aren't that bad off. Lot of young decent pieces if you look for them. Granted, I don't think they are super amazing like Todd, who thought that D would be awesomesauce (where did he go anyway?) but they have building pieces. If you want to pick my brain on them, since I ran them 2 years ago, feel free. Just know, I completely suck at this game.
I know it's early, but I'm pretty surprised that I've only gotten one trade offer with a team that has 9 Pro Bowlers on it and my history of moving players.
I'm not making any trades this year. And Mach/GIK: http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...or-2013-dolphins-add-new-special-teams-coach/ probably want to make sure the salaries for Jerry and Jones are accurate
I call BS. There's no way you go the whole GM season without making a trade. I think I've traded with you every year so far.
Yup, IIRC they have Pat Willis, Von Miller, Connor Barwin, Calais Campbell, Thomas DeCoud, Dareus, Kyle Williams, and Tarell Brown on defense. Oh wait, that was my team last year.
Something that has been bugging me: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/tampa-bay-buccaneers/vincent-jackson/ Now that site accounts for his signing bonus...but what about guaranteed salaries...doesn't that bump the cap hit? Do they not include such info due to lack of details or am I way off here?
Everything's included in his cap hit to the right I believe. It's the right year to own Jackson, lucky for you.
He's not the Buccaneers GM... but Nicks too. They both restructured in December to give the team more cap space in 2013....
In real life it makes dead money when cut more, but has nothing to do with increasing on roster cap hit.
Ok so roster/signing bonus/workout/Likely to be earned incentive bonuses etc count against the cap.....guaranteed portions of the salary don't? That was what was confusing me as you can see from that example Vincent got $26 million guaranteed.
Soooooo does this imaginary rule book say after the Super Bowl is completed? Oorrrrr "after the Super Bowl?" Because technically it is after the beginning of the Super Bowl pre-game shows have started right now...
well anytime today really, but Mach is going to make you wait for it. It's the only sense of control he's able to maintain.
Um, for simplicity, just go with the rosters posted, they're accurate and we don't use post SB restructures anyway.
It'll change fast. Remember were counting beyond the 51 players that the NFL actually uses. Once you cut all the dead weight (ie: Buffalo has EIGHT OT's!!) that isn't part of your 53 it will come down fast.
