I'd be ok with Mike Williams, depending on the pick involved. At his price we could probably still sign Jennings since neither will command Wallace money. That's not a bad idea.

ADDED: I think that'd have to depend on whether or not TB believes they have a shot to win it all next year. If they do, I don't think they'd let Williams go a year early, even if a 2nd rounder is involved.

Also remember, just because they tried and failed to trade for a player once already doesn't mean they won't stop trying.

Nate Washington is even more superfluous in Tennessee than he was last off season, in the sense that they like how Kendall Wright has come along and Kenny Britt should be coming back to them full time now.

If the Eagles were willing to put Jeremy Maclin on the table a year ago I'm not sure they would be less willing now.

I added Mike Williams of the Buccaneers just because he's a RFA and will want a nice sized contract and the Buccaneers may look to get something for him a year ahead of time knowing full well they aren't paying him in 2014.

I know you're not big on Washington, Chris but he can play.

10 bags sounds like he was actually dealing to friends and teammates. Distribution is much more serious than just using.

If Miami trade for Nate Washington then I'm just about done with this franchise. Ship them off to LA so I can pick a new club.

If he's part of a larger overhaul, thats one thing.

But trading for Nate Washington and declaring "Problem solved!!" is another

Trufant jumps in front of the corner that was supposed to cover Wheaton, he wanted the challenge, Wheaton shows speed getting past him, completed just out of bounds, Trufant barks out loud so everyone knows it was out..

I'm still crushin' on Wheaton. I LOL'd at Trufant wanting an extra piece of him after Wheaton beat him on their previous rep. He gets up in Markus's face to jam him, and then Wheaton beats his press and watches Trufant in the rear mirror the rest of the way.

Jones from UCLA is displaying rush skills against the best left tackle, and winning his share, bull rush was strong, spin to the inside was a complete win..

Jordan Poyer showing good corner skills, some fast twitch movement in his transitions.makes up ground real quick, competitive.

Confusing me with someone else? I remember the Nate Washington argument you had with someone, but I don't remember getting involved. I think he's alright. I don't think he's Greg Jennings.

Poyer makes a play in zone coverage, nice recognition, leaps up to tip the ball that was not in the direction of his guy..

I said earlier in the year I didn't see much if any difference in coverage ability between Poyer and Milliner, and my mind hasn't changed. I know he's not as strong as Milliner, but in a passing league I can sacrifice a little strength for coverage ability. IMO he plays with a lot of confidence, is a defensive spark plug, and seems like a good leader on the field. If we trade back our first and pick up an extra 2nd, he's a player I'd look heavily at taking.

maybe 4.32. What I love about Wheaton is he doesn't have a lot of wasted movement to his speed and his field & route awareness are outstanding IMO.

He shows it on the tape too. He's not overly powerful like you'd expect considering the hyperbole you hear out of Mayock. But he gets his pads low and really gets behind them, can move people, and I think he can get out and do things in space. He's got his head on a swivel and does a good job looking for work. And he's really keen on his blocking angles.

I haven't done much work on guards this year at all so this isn't some great accolade, but he's one of my favorite guard prospects. Obviously Chance Warmack and Jon Cooper being what they are.

    Nice spin move by Ansah!

If Dalton Freeman continues stuffing guys like he just did 350 lb John Jenkins, he might not need to gain much weight.

One quote by JI does give me some hope they'll make the right choices at WR:

Question though. Considering Philbin's background as an offensive line coach, do we know for sure that Philbin knows what he's about with respect to wide receivers? Does taking higher account of Philbin's observations make us more likely to make the right choice?

    Hard to say.

Personally I hope not. I don't want every player he comes across benchmarked upon how similar he looks to Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb or James Jones. I hope there's a lot more behind his evaluations of those guys than that.

Not what I was implying. What I was saying was that he learned how to evaluate talent that will be productive NFL players in his system, not draft Packer type receivers.

Totally agree. The 3rd is too high for someone with the off field concerns that Mathieu brings. Think of how far Alfonzo Dennard slid in the last draft. One year ago, he was considered by many to be no less than a 2nd or 3rd. But slid to the 7th where the Pats got a steal who logged 600 snaps at corner in 2012. He was arrested right before the draft and charged with third-degree felony assault of a police officer. Police say he struck the officer during a disturbance outside a Lincoln bar.
While most of us don't think being a pothead is worse than getting into altercations at bars and hitting a police man even if that part of the incident was inadvertent, it is more likely to lead to a suspension that costs him games. He's a corner version of Ricky when it comes to weed.
I'll be very surprised if Mathieu goes before the 6th.

I'd take Mathieu in the 5th considering we'll have already had 6 picks in by then.

The biggest risk to me is, a team drafts him, he tests positive enough, and gets suspended. He's no good to a team if the league won't allow him to play.
Dennard fell to the 7th for clocking a cop by mistake who tried to break up a fight he was in and getting arrested. That could be and much more likely an isolated incident that won't happen again. IMO, it's more likely Mathieu goes undrafted than goes before the 6th.

I doubt it. Those guys all got a 2nd training camp. Guys taken in the top 3 rounds are almost assured of getting a 2nd training camp to prove themselves, before being cut.
