Miami Dolphins New logo/uniforms Thread

im on the "tail down" team

 

Just my gut here, but I think the logo and the scheme color change will lean towards old school..I've been noticing how they have been pimpin the anniversary team with pride, also I went to the website one nite, and It was flashing images of old colors, pics, the orange bowl, the old unis, it was weird and cool and completely random.

Every time they talk about this change I swear I see a hidden sarcasm or this grin that screams were going to make you happy because we know you really want the old school stuff, and all we've been hearing about since coach took over, is acknowledging the rich history and respecting the tradition of the Miami dolphins..


I'm not saying this logo does is it for me, but the just the color scheme does.

I'll argue this all day, all week, all year for the rest of my life. I do not find it one bit corny.

 

Yeah umm no,, it isn't laying there like a beached dolphin that just washed up on shore, and because its on my avatar pic i want that to be the team logo? When I first saw it i thought it was cool, then i put it up as my desktop and its very plain. i'm just too lazy to change it. or care.

Same here, I do not think it is a bit corny, it is classic.

That is the problem though, I do think it needs a overhaul and or change..but I also think the reasons why are b/c Ross secretly does not like much about the dolphins inc.

From the simply awwfuuul TPayne "update" of the Dolphins fight song to the logo, I suspect Ross a NYer thinks it all very un cosmopolitan.

I'd like to see it stylized, but not turned into a grey whale..sort of like the Broncos did in the late 90's.

 

The new logo should keep the Dolphin and replace the sunburst with a snowflake as a reference to Ace Ventura.

 

I copied and have the image on my iPad but can't figure out how to paste it, doesn't work..

It's the pale orange and light aqua look.

Interesting indeed. I just can't wait for this whole thing to be over. There are so many stories now. I still this logo was leaked for a reason, either to get a reaction, soften the blow, or was the original logo but they decided to change it. Only 3 more months till we find out i guess...Hopefully twitter goes crazy again and we get more information

Hasn't there only been one supposedly leaked but the rest have been admittedly fan-made? Unless I missed out on a leak somewhere...

 

The whale looking one is the one that has caught most attention and thats the logo that has been posted by the local media .Thats not the real logo.

Maybe some of the others that have been posted may be closer to the true one.Ross did seem to balk at the whale looking one but was less convinced about others circulating.

I am guessing and hoping that the real one will be a tail down design.

My preference is something looking like the old stadium logo but I think they will go with a modified classic Dolphin look alike logo....which is ok by me too.

 

Yes. The one with the upturned tail is the one that supposedly was verified by a Nike rep as being "very close" to the actual logo. All the other ones that have popped up are nothing more than fan creations in response to the "prototype" that was leaked.

 

Yes, there is one that was supposedly leaked. but I never read that this one is fan made and even if it was, it could be something close because this one is better than any I've seen.....

 

This makes me happy. My prefetence is the one in my sig. But I like a lot of the others circualating. Fin D's last one is a fav as well. The "leaked" has been the one that I absolutely despise.

 

Yeah I get all that for sure but if the Dolphins DID want to see the reactions of fans, it could be one we've seen. The one I posted above that I have yet to see a claim made thats its for sure fan made.

 

I like a few of the ones he made. Because he used the Dolphin from one of the original 70's logos in it. ;-)

 

If you told me right now this was it, I would be happy, with that color scheme there is room for a black alternate that would look cool.

I even like the stripe down the front of the helmet, it's really a good look, progressive, modern.

Check out how cool the patch is on the shoulder side of the jersey..

I say we get crazy, and get on board with the one Oz posted above, and submit it as the one we like as a fanbase site, that's just me, it's really bad *** if you think about it.

 

If a Transformer designed this logo I want it a billion time more

 

I'm not sure how many alternates will be allowed just yet but it could be more than a few if Nike gets their way. But even if not right away, It could lead to many alternates that are made up just for fans to wear.

I have a jersey that I'm willing to bet most people have never seen. It's a two tone with Aqua on the front, and dark blue on the back. I found a perfectly matching hat to go with it as well. I'll take a pic of it and post in a few

 

Put it this way, I live in NYC and I go to a bar to watch the games with friends who are fans of several different teams. I showed them the "leaked" version and they laughed and called it "gay". I showed the design in my sig, they too thought it was BA and much better, even the Jets fan could not find anything bad to say about it.

 

I do like the logo best. Not a fan of all the dark blue used in it but it's something different and I favor it. The uniforms are ok. Don't like the number shapes but they could grow on me as long as they use the throwbacks sometimes.

 

I believe Canephins was the one who showed it to us first. Just to give credit where it is due....

 

Do that Oz, wanna see it.

I ask because me and you rep two different perspectives on the look, I wanted something more modern with traditional accents, you wanted the other end of the spectrum, if we these two perspectives can agree on a different look, then maybe it's the one..
