Not a big fan of either one but this one is, by far, the better of the two.

    Update on new logo

Sure, but thats 75% of quite a limited group. Certainly people here like us will likely be more resistant to change because of how much we have invested here.

I think if you went and asked a random group of very casual borderline fans, you would likely get different results.

Agreed... when you already have a disgruntled group, they will protest and rail about most any further change...

He's not being smart about a few things...it's not about changing the logo, if he thinks it's going to create identity, trigger a new culture, and create excitement, he's dead wrong about trying to do it this way...

Stop spending money on everything but the problem...which is the building.

IMO, the only way the logo generates any excitement is if it's Bold and exciting, the "prototype" is neither.

I never said it was a majority that didn't like the current logo. In fact, I specifically said that the majority will almost always resist change. What I said was that I see a larger percentage of the fan base with gripes about the current logo than I have seen on other teams. And it's not just the same guys posting. Every year I notice there are new names that have some complaint with our current logo. The idea that people like change for change sake just doesn't match up with reality. It's just something that people that are particularly resistant to change keep saying. The people who complain about the current logo generally have specific reasons for not liking it. They tend to be the same things being repeated too. I don't think it's a coincidence that the alleged proposed logo looks less like a cartoon and loses the helmet. Those have been consistent gripes for decades. And while every team has some small segment that complains about the uniform, my perception is that segment is generally much smaller than what you see here. That was basically my point that you seem to have missed.

25% wanting change would be a huge segment as people naturally resist change. My perception from the logo changes in NE and Denver specifically was that maybe 5% or 10% at most.

All we've been promised is that the logo will be released by the time the draft occurs.

I think Ross knows full well those things are temporary and only have so much of an effect, but he certainly isn't about to come out and say that. It's about boosting revenue and freshening the product.

Temporary, but the logo, uniforms and stadium are what the owner should be focused on. The team building should be left to the GM and coach. Ross picked whom he thought should do that and is giving them time to accomplish that.

75 percent is huge. Resisting or not.

Not relative to what I saw in the other cases (Denver/NE) that I cited. That was my point. In those cases I saw far more resistance to change and the change happened regardless. In this case, I see more people seeking the change. And I see more concrete, specific complaints about the current logo. Compared to those situations, I see a logo change in Miami as more necessary and more likely.

I understand that but totally disagree. There is absolutely no need to change it to something totally different and most people see it that way. Resisting or not.

Jerseys are a different story. They need a change IMO. Usually though when a team changes their uniform its because of the logo changing,

I actually have faith in the jersey hearing it will be old school looking but I'm just hoping that shadow is gone. If it is, there a 90% chance I'll like it. If not there is a 100% chance I won't

like the tail down look with the eye and that the navy has been scaled back. Did you make that? That pose just looks better no other way to cut it. Like the Dolphin is proud of himself. Probably just raped some smaller sea creatures.

Technically, if the logo changes, so will the jersey, because the logo is part of (and present on) the jersey.

But it is interesting that the uni is supposedly changing and the main focus has been on the logo.

I think one goes with the other really. If they were to add the shockingly horrifying color of grey to the logo, it would open the door for grey in the unis. Ditto for shading of the aqua and coral/orange. Im also assuming that if navy is going to be in the logo, it will find its way on the uni as well

Gotta admit, Ross calmed my fears a bit yesterday. After looking at the leaked logo about 1,000 times, by itself, on helmets, etc., it's started to grow on me a bit, but I always come away thinking something's missing from it. Like it's OK, but not complete, and more is needed to make it better. As is, it's OK, but it looks unfinished, and not worth the switch.

Ross saying that was not a finished product makes me feel better, as I think - with some work - that logo has a chance to be a good one.

IMO it's about time. The logo was corny when it was introduced and time has not improved it.
