He will probably be drafted pretty low on fears that he's another Clyde Gates so it probably won't be too hard for him to outperform his draft status. But yeah I've been talking about him since the beginning of the year as an underrated WR in this class. Marcus Davis drew most eyes but I thought Fuller looked more consistent and less like a ****-up.

Then again in this last bowl game was the first time I looked at Marcus Davis and saw real potential in him. He really tightened up his game a whole lot in the bowl game and I think especially he tightened up his game after Deadspin put out a scathing video entitled "Marcus Davis doesn't feel like blocking. Ever."

I watched him block in the bowl game and he was not only getting after it but using that hulking size and strength of his to great affect.

Either he's one of those guys who is going to get lazy on you until he gets into a contract year and then he performs through the roof, or maybe, just maybe...the light bulb turned on.

(9:00 AM): Two Noles enter draft … Florida State junior CB Xavier Rhodes announced that he will be entering the upcoming NFL draft. The 6-2, 215-pound Rhodes is considered to be a late first or early second round selection this year. Meanwhile, FSU RB Chris Thompson has indicated that he too will enter the upcoming draft rather than apply for a medical exemption from the NCAA that would have given him an extra year of eligibility after suffering season-ending injuries in each of the past two years. Thompson, though, is considered to be more of a late round or free agent type.

This is the potential that Marcus Davis gives you which is very Josh Gordon-like.

What's most intriguing to me since I like to calibrate speed on tape rather than on the 40 yard dash, where possible, is how from the moment he breaks the tackle attempt of Lafayette Pitts (4.54), between Jarred Holley (4.53), Jason Hendricks (4.62) and Jamahl Pardner (4.54) there isn't a single guy on that field that is actually running even the same speed as Marcus Davis. It tells me that estimates of Marcus Davis' speed are actually accurate, and that he's actually able to translate it onto the field in advantageous situations.

First play of the following short clip from 2011 going up against Chase Minnifield, it's really just not a very smoothly run route at all and Minnifield is doing a good job being physical with him but in the end you can see that when Marcus Davis puts on the burst on the 2nd part of his route, Minnifield (4.63 at his pro day) is flat out scared he's going to run away from him, and he interferes with him. And still gives up the catch.

On the other hand, way too often this year there was a certain...Roberto Wallace-esque feel to his game. The most interesting thing that he did in the Bowl game that had me thinking he may be more than a Roberto Wallace is the way he attacked the ball in the air and snatched it with his hands. There was a sidelines catch (or actually I think it was a no-catch because Logan Thomas threw it too far out of bounds) that comes to mind, and there was a really underthrown ball against the blitz that comes to mind. Put that together with his renewed blocking efforts in the wake of that video, his ability to scare the piss out of anyone that doesn't run solidly in the 4.4's, and maybe you do have something after all. He's like 6'4" and 230+ lbs.

And again here, the way he's able to physically muscle for catches like these when you combine it with his fantastic size/speed combo...again, intriguing, but frustrating.

Yes!!!! My favorite WR in this years draft. While it would be a reach, I'd take him at 12 and wouldn't look back.

If we decide we need to upgrade the WR position in the draft and we can't trade back with anyone I would. He won't make it to our 2nd round pick.

This draft has some damn fine LBs in it. Should be lots of value there come draft time. I know it's not one of our biggest needs but I'd really like to add one of the LBs that should go between rounds 2-3 (even though I could see Minter going in the 1st.

Boomer you think Miami would highly consider Nuk? Would he be the type of WR that both Ireland and Philbin would key in on? I've thought about it a lot and think he would be a great addition and would fit everything they look for, but I just want an experts opinion :)

I really want to add at least one of the following: Nuk Hopkins, Terrance Williams, or Tavon Austin in that order

Of course. I just don't see Ireland going WR at twelve. I see him picking an off the radar type in round 3 or with Indy's two. I think he'd happily take Milliner at twelve if he was there. But I strongly suspect he'll take a rush end. Ireland doesn't give a balls about his reputation.

    Funny, but true.

I can't see us taking Nuk or any WR at 12 for that matter. Given Green Bay's success with 2nd round WRs I suspect we will take one there, or possibly trade back up into round 1 if there is a WR they "must have."

I'm torn on Milliner. I like him, but I just don't know if he has the speed and quickness to be a great cover corner in the NFL.

(8:30 PM): Gator TE enters draft ... Florida junior TE Jordan Reed has announced he will be enetring the 2013 draft. The 6-3, 240-pound Reed, who came to Florida as an option QB, but switched to TE last year, emerged as one of the better receivers in the country at the position this year when he caught 45 passes for 600 yards. Reed is projected to be one of the first 4-5 TEs off the board this coming April.

Ute DE going pro … In a bit of surprise, Utah junior DE Joe Kruger has announced he will be entering the upcoming draft. Kruger is the younger brother of Baltimore OLB Paul Kruger, a second round pick in 2009. The 6-6, 280-pound Kruger, who likely will get looks as both a 5tech 3-4 DE as well as a regular 4-3 DE, led the Utes with 6 sacks in 2012.
