If they get in, they get in. But right now they're on the outside.

Under the 16-team system, they'd be on the inside with crappy teams like ours and the Chargers in their place.

I just think the whole thing breeds mediocrity.

Well, I'm agnostic on the issue.

I like the system just fine now, but have no particular problem with expansion.

Playoff expansion has never hurt any sport, at any time, even though doom has been predicted every time.

Quite frankly, the Dolphins-Jaguars "contest" on Sunday is a far bigger abomination to the sport then the Jets being able to play the Patriots in a theoretical first round matchup a month from now.

    AMERICA!

The NFL agrees with you because here in central FL, they're showing the Denver/Ravens at 1:00 on Sunday.

My immediate reaction is, oh I can just wait and watch the playoffs since the regular season games aren't as important.

Might be your immediate reaction but I guarantee you'd follow the regular season as closely as you do now.

You'd be breaking down Dolphins playoff scenarios right now.

Again, I'm agnostic. I don't really care either way, but adding teams to the post-season would not hurt the sport or viewership of the sport.

On one side you have the Jets not deserving, on the other side you have a team like the Dolphins who have been SO CLOSE to winning close games against good teams. Or, how about a team that should be solid, but lost some key guys, that could return to the post season and they could go on a run if they get in? I don't care either way, like Muck said, no reason to fight, it will happen. If it means more football, then ok, I am for it.
