Welcome back T, the secondary and special teams missed you. It's about time the new coaching staff correct their training camp mistakes, now it's time to correct the other one..!!!
I don't see it as negative. Culver was always fairly mediocre at safety. To me, it's more frustrating that we could never get an upgrade over the guy, so he kept sticking around, and now he's back. we could do worse at backup safety, but him coming back shows we have zero depth.
I guess? Jimmy Wilson is technically a back-up safety and has in practice played safety recently, but with Nolan Carroll sliding down the depth chart they don't seem to want to do that anymore. I don't know? I don't really care honestly it doesn't change that you can easily and objectively assess that Culver is a decent backup/sub safety.
Carroll is sliding down the depth chart? I must have missed that. As for Culver, we can take his resigning as just another example of how Ireland needs to win this year to be safe. He's bringing back players who HE FEELS can help him do that and he's not comfortable with going for younger options. And I do wonder how much input he has on who sees the field (Miller/Egnew/Matthews).
Carroll was the starter for most of since Marshall went down, but recently RJ Stanford and he have been rotating while Jimmy Wilson has been the Nickel.
The rotation occurred only during the Pats 2nd half after Wilson got hurt though right? Because I'm thinking that had something to do with it. Stanford not a slot guy... But I guess they put McCann in place of Wilson.
"The other one" is no longer correctable. He's tearing up the league in Chicago. Do you mean Ochocinco?
