I'm not big on some of the "softer" tracks, like the robin thicke one. still a pretty good album. i like "like father, like son" a lot more tho.

 

The song with Robin Thicke is about Hurricane Katrina & the aftermath. It's probably one of Wayne's most complete tracks to date. He didn't jump off topic with a lame line like he does in 95% of his songs. Really, the only "soft" songs are Mrs. Officer and Comfortable, and Comfortable may just be the best song on the album. Nice track to me. Wayne actually rapping on topic, production from Kanye, and Babyface on the hook - can't top that trio.

And Birdman is a bottom 5 rapper all time. He ruined LFLS for me.

 

anyone else think its weird that theres no mention of birdman or cashmoney on the whole cd? smart move wayne

I agree. Ever since he and Mannie split up their own ways, he hasn't been the same imo.

 

I was pretty suprised that Fresh wasnt on this CD. I imagine he's probably taking a lot of time to chill with his family after that crazy **** with his sister, cant blame him at all.

 

I hope he goes a diff direction then he did with The Love Below. Didnt really like either of Outkasts solos. Although Tomb of the Boom destroyed some speakers.

 

If Andre 3k wants to be..........he can be the best rapper in the game.

 

Btw, Mr. Carter wasn't produced by Just Blaze. I posted a "proper" credit earlier that stated it was, my bad. Every version of the C3 going around also said that it was produced by Just Blaze - wrong. It was produced by DJ Infamous and David Correa. This is straight from my boy Streetrunner's mouth (dude who produced Playin' With Fire).

Playin with Fire is a DOPE *** song. Love it as well as Misunderstood and Shoot Me Down.

I've been to a few of his parties and whatnot.

 

So I listen to Misunderstood for the first time the other night and Im thinkin damn this song is nasty and I love the hook and wonder what song its from. So about an hr later I turn on HBO and Im watching some gang movie Ive never seen before called "American Me" and about 5 mins in they start playing the original song from Misunderstood.

Thats some weeeeird ****.

 

I agree, the Outkast solos just left me feeling empty. I don't know the aim of the solos...commercial perhaps. Gotta love the old Outkast stuff though...revolutionary stuff. The new solo hopefully would be better otherwise they should go back to their old formula

btw, just downloaded Bun B's new album. I know u and slick already had it, i forgot to come back to download it lol.

 

The 16 songs that we have should be the final tracks. The only issue is the order.

"Good Girl Gone Bad" is from Devin The Dude's album (2007), and "Whip It" didn't make the album. It's amazing, because I've heard quite a few songs that didn't make the album, and you can probably make a BETTER album of the songs that didn't make it, than the actual retail version which was put together by Universal.

Ooo. I like the songs on the album but I was hoping that Lollipop wouldn't be on it, that song is annoyin as hell.

 

Btw, I can't seem to find that damn song "L.A.". I've been lookin all over limewire for it, i have the whole CD but that song. Is it even worth looking for?

And I agree about Lollipop. I hate the song, but it had to be done for commercial appeal. Lil' Wayne broke some records with that joint, although it's currently "unchecked" on my iTunes.

I prefer the remix with Kanye. It's OK.

The song that shouldn't have made the album under any circumstances = Got Money w/ T-Pain. Horrible song. There are probably 20-30 songs that didn't make the album that are far better.

 

Yeah Lollipop is annoyin. I like mix with Gorilla Zoe.

There are good songs on this album and then there are some WTH's on it. but I listen to Tie My Hands, Playin With Fire, Misunderstood and Shoot Me Down all day so im straight.
