Well hopefully for Alex Smith's sake, the locker room is aware that the way he's playing is associated with about 12 to 14 wins on a season.
All Pro-TE, HOF WR, consistent run game, backs/OL who can protect, what's that? Tanne needs to do a better job of moving in the pocket, I agree. But even if he did, we don't have jack **** for him to throw to down the field and our OL is consistently blowing assignments or whiffing on blocks. San Fran has Davis inside, Moss outside, Crabtree to work the intermediate, Manningham, Ginn, Williams to provide depth. Gore is a solid back who can run inside or out, Hunter is a good COP guy, Delanie Walker is no slouch, we're missing a lot more than a QB who can move around. I watched the Washington game yesterday in awe. Garcon-Moss-Robinson-Hankerson-Paul-Banks-Morgan, all one one friggin team!!!!
They have a great run game..wait til they break out Lamike James. I know all those weapons will help, and I know they have been training him to execute from the pocket, but lets just take off the reigns and see what happens..I want to see some sudden movements in the pocket, some playmaking ability, some crisp,fast,Qb athleticism.
