Two first round picks and a 4th rounder that's playing better than our #1 WR. Fine. They're not weapons. Chad Henne a great QB.
He's not a great QB. But they're not weapons. Lewis is but not Shorts or Blackmon. This game is more on the Texans than it is the Jags.
Gotta admit though when the Dolphins fall they fall hard. From 2nd place to last place in a few days time. Plus all the teams that have moved past them outside the AFCE (which would help our draft position, but we dont know how to draft anyway). And the former QB Henne has a huge game against a good defense. Plus Marshall is coming off a few huge performances, now the 3rd ranked WR in the NFL. Probably just one of those lucky games, if the Jaguars actually had a playoff shot i'm sure he'd toss a few INT's like he did many times with us, helping us lose to teams like the Bills and Browns to fall out of the playoff picture, thus adding to the Dolphins falling hard and fast. Not to mention all those December swoons we used to have. Like going from a tie for the #1 seed to 3rd place and out of the playoffs in just 2 weeks time in 2002. Then they wonder why attendance has dropped to the worst in the NFL. Its a broken record now. Either we completely suck like in 2004/2007, or they give fans a glimmer of hope by playing a few good games, then suffer an awful collapse to fall out of the picture.
Pfft you have no idea what disappointment is..try 9-2 #1 seed in the AFC and ending the season 9-7....oh yeah no playoffs.
Yeah, great game good performance by Henne, I couldnt see the game so i have no idea who the incompletes passes were on but hey atleast he showed up and was a gamer.
Yup. He's a choke artist because Houston was the inferior team??? Compare this game against the Texans to our own game against the Texans. Stop being a hater.
did you watch the game or are you just saying that b/c Jax lost? lol. He threw 4 TDs against Houston to "get it done". Is it his fault the Jags defense collapsed late in the 4th quarter and surrendered a 14 point Henne lead? Then it OT Henne put a great back shoulder pass on his receiver where only the receiver could catch it, extend the drive, and put Jax in position to win.... but the DB made a nice break up on the play after it was in the receiver's hands and the receiver simply couldn't hold onto the ball.
1993! I may have been a fan, I don't remember. I didn't watch the games yet if I was, so no disappointment. I became a fan very young only because Dolphins are/were my favorite animal, a few years before I actually started watching them. Though I AM disappointed that it actually happened. Along with the choke in San Diego after the big halftime lead in the playoffs. And losing to the Pats in 1985 AFCC in Miami for the first time since the 60s? Wasn't alive, but it sucks to know that it even happened! Even with super bowl contenders they found ways to lose in odd ways in the 80s and 90s.
It hurt to even type it, it was that bad. Yes you brought up some very good examples of my pain..ty..ty very much.
Henne is a good QB. He can make all the throws which is what you want in a QB. He just has issues moving around the pocket. If he starts against the Dolphins I would be worried about the Dolphins secondary defending the pass again.
you are joking right Blackmon is 6 times the receiver that Bess and Brian ( i dont scare anyone ) Hartline are. Blackmon is struggling because Jacksonville had a qb who makes Henne look like Earl Morrall. there is no way in hell i would take Tannyhill and this sorry wr corp over Henne and Blackmon .
They lost but I'm happy for Henne. Career day against one of the best teams in the league. He didn't get it done in Miami but he gave it his all. Can't hate on that. Hope he continues to have success (just not against us).
My hats off to Chad Henne also. What a great game that was and it would have been nice to see him get the win. He's got some gunslinger to his game and I like that. Still a robot in the pocket but he's not afraid to chuck and can make all the NFL throws. I think Jacksonville should move forward with Henne as their guy. Let Gabbert sit for a while and take a step back to see if he can revive things. give Henne the keys and let him go. I hope he does good next week i'll be rooting for him.
