I agree with Madison 100%. I still wanted him on the team because I knew he could still contribute. But he got a nice SB ring which is something I don't see us getting any time in the near future.

Well he got rid of Madison but then got Will Allen, who, off-field stuff notwithstanding for now, is not bad. Saban also was a defensive genius apparently as our D dropped off big time when he left.

I miss the Madison/Surtain duo at cornerback.

I'm glad that Madison got his Super Bowl ring though in New York.

Sad how Madison gave up $$ to help the team bring in players so we could win, then gets repaid by Miami tossing him aside in a heartbeat. And we expect other players to do the same, why?

Madison is definately a class act. One of the greatest faces of the franchise and has proven so with his deep propensity for the dolphins and never forgetting his roots or where he came from...

    Class act

I told all my buds that he was gunna put a pick 6 on Brady and seal the deal. He didn't get the 6 but he set it up and killed a critical drive in the 4th qtr. Sam is definitely a player I would like to see them do a 1 day contract with so he could retire a Dolphin, if he wants too that is.

It wouldn't surprise me if Madison got into the league as a DB coach. He was a huge mentor in the Giants secondary, even off the field. This is according to a lot of Giants fan, who said he was a huge reason in the development in Aaron Ross.

oh absolutely, the coaching staff even said publically they needed him there on the sidelines to help the DB's during the playoffs... I wouldnt be surprised if the reason why cory webster tore it up in the playoffs after sucking all regular season was due to Madison mentoring him while he was sidelined

I don't think Madison is too angry about being sent to a team that just won the Super Bowl.

He wasn't complaining as I remember it. You missed the entire point, or more likely it wouldn't matter to you anyway.

I'm disputing your characterization of him as being "tossed aside." Surtain, maybe--Madison, no.

probably. And it's not like the Giants were Super Bowl contenders to begin with.

    http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2006/10/sam_madison_sti.html

So yea, Madison felt he was tossed aside. But at least he was fortunate enough to land on a wild-card team that surprised everyone. Wasn't complaining about being with the Giants but certainly complaining about being cast off by the Dolphins.

You can't be serious about missing "Toast Buckley", right ?? One of the worst CBs we have ever had on this team...Now, if you'd said Surtain and Madison, I can see that point...
