That action is not necessary on my behalf. I read your posts. I took issue with such in the past, notably because of questionable comments you directed at me once upon a time, but I don't mind it no longer.

And like I said, if the day is indeed so sunny, it should be only too easy to keep talking about how sunny it is and ignore the guy who's pointing out the clouds. Why waste any time talking about that one guy's perceptions when there's such a sunny day to talk about?

Right, and my post wasn't directed a you, per se, Alen, but to anyone who has a problem with the way anyone else posts.

As long as they aren't violating the ToS, I think it's a violation of the ToS itself to post in the forum about how that person posts, since that constitutes talking about a person and not a post.

Instead, I think people should PM that person and/or a moderator behind the scenes so as to avoid the potential for open conflict, and/or use the ignore function.

I think it comes down to what I've said before, I don't see any reason to dampen someone's enthusiasm for the team, considering what we've all gone through.

Why celebrate a TD if people are just going to say, we'll probably still lose? At that point, why even follow sports at all.

We haven't had reason to be positive for awhile, so when someone finds another unbiased source saying good things, i just don't get the need by some to quash it immediately. I mean its not like it was a poster or anything, it was a different site that did their own analysis.

I guess for me, when someone is constantly doing that, then there is probably an issue with that person wanting others to share in misery or at least not be happy or even control issues. What other reason could there honestly be?

I still think cage fights are the best way to solve disputes but no one listens to my suggestions...

Yeah but your enthusiasm or the lack thereof is your own responsibility. If it's that easily dampened, I think you have to question whether your own personal boundaries are sufficiently sturdy to let in what you want let in and to keep out what you want kept out.

IMO it's selfish and pushy to want to change the way someone else conducts themselves because it affects you negatively, when there is an ignore function that would allow you to blow that person completely off your radar.

In real life you would do the same thing. You would avoid the person. That option is available here as well.

Who cares? We are here to talk about the Dolphins, not other posters. You can't expect to like how everyone feels about everything. As long as everyone is respectful, we are good.

The same could be said for a person entering a positive thread just to crap on it. You don't walk into a birthday party in real life and tell the person they are now closer to dying and not expect some backlash.

Look I'm not saying you shouldn't be allowed to be Debbie Downer, go right ahead its your right. I'm just curious as to why you have an apparent compulsion to do so.

Very true. But in my defense questions were being asked as to why people are upset. I was trying to explain it.

Sure, and the backlash would be not being invited back next year, perhaps. Likewise, the available "backlash" for you here is the ignore function.

And if that's truly your concern, you should PM me.

Once again, this a public forum so do what you want, I just think its bizarre to be intentionally down on people but at the same timer be incredulous when people are put off by it.

Who is incredulous? I'm not surprised or in disbelief at all. I'm merely saying that there are appropriate ways and inappropriate ways to respond when you're put off by the way someone else posts.

And I think you're being awfully arrogant to believe you know what my intentions are. Then again the whole thing is arrogant. It essentially consists of, "your post made me feel some way I didn't want to feel, so you have a problem," versus owning your own feelings and taking responsibility for yourself.

I never said that Miami would probably win the division. In fact, nobody did. All that was posted a link to objective criteria that listed Miami as the favorite. If all you can see in that is the negative side then you are somebody who s*its on any positive statements. Which is exactly what I said.

I'm not saying they can't beat a team with a winning record I just want to see it consistently. I'm very happy with the direction of the team but won't be crushed if they don't make the playoffs and doubt I'll be crushed if they do and are out in 1. In weeks 2 or 3 there were already playoff threads. If the bubble bursts some of those same people who posted about making the playoffs will be screaming and kicking the Phins suck when we have a young team that is giving us some great football right now.

HK... is it possible that you are so accustomed to the results of a steady diet of Guinness Stout, Brats, bourbon baked beans, sauerkraut and pickled eggs that anything less odoriferous convinces your neural synapses that you have wound up breathing the air of a fantasia induced dream?

Do I have to counter someone else's observation to make one of my own?

Any, or just that one and some percentage of others? :headscratch:

What if I thought it wasn't all that positive? Am I allowed to voice that? Or do I need to find out your opinion first and have that tell me what to think?

I'll ask you again since you haven't yet answered: if there's something so positive to talk about here, why are you wasting any time on me and my negative perception?

Actually hopefully I don't get an answer because you've put me on ignore. That's probably the best remedy for you.

Is it though honestly? Look at the Patriots roster.....Patriot mystique aside its pretty bad. Bills are....the Bills and the Jets are....the Jets.

Great way to spend the bye week. We need a game so we can stop cannibalizing one another.

    Go Dolphins. Lol.

Back on topic though.... I feel like our only real chance to win this division will come down to winning both Patriots games.

    Both.
