I have no idea how Boston can blow a 17 point lead like that. Its like they want to lose or something.

I agree. You have to wonder if they were in the West, would they still be playing.

This is what I hate about NBA rules regarding intentional fouls/free throws.

I think it's terrible and needs to be changed asap.

Rip is quite the actor, didn't see where he hurt his elbow. I think he was pushing for a Ref Timeout.

He probably learned it from those Duke players. I heard they're pretty good at flopping lol.

Also I have no idea why Boston plays the way they do in the 4th. They play like a 17 point lead is enough to HOLD BACK anyone in the playoffs. They need to continue to attack to beat the Pistons or LA/Spurs for that matter.

Yeah I'm with you on this one. If they keep up that lack of effort in the fourth, they won't be winning anything.

Exactly. How they intend on stopping Kobe and the Refs? I'm not sure if Pierce coule even contain Kobe. I don't even think they can stop Manu and Parker guard combo. It seems they would really struggle with a team like the Spurs. I'm fairly confident KG could contain TD.

Kobe would completely own Celts if they played like that. Same goes for Manu. Yeah I think KG could guard TD, I don't see KG letting up one milisecond if he gets into the finals.

Good game, would have been better if the refs wouldn't have plagued it full of bad calls. The Commish has GOT to step in and get a handle of the inconsistency's on the calls. The refs shouldnt be a deciding factor in a game like this.

I agree he may prefer to blend in, but that doesn't mean he's just going to stand by and watch his team lose on the biggest games of his career. It was nice to finally see some production out of Allen. Did anyone else catch the choke hold Rip had him in at the end. Maybe Bowen isnt the dirtiest player in the league after all. :wink2:

Yeah, his passion for winning is up there.

    I agree.

ESPN just stated that David Stern said a foul should have been called on the Brent Barry play.

    Your thoughts?

If he would have actually been shooting when it happened then yes. But, if you watch the play closely he doesnt get the shot off until well after Fisher has made contact. And him saying he didnt see Fish was BS. He knew the contact was coming thats why he pump faked. He never had any intention of shooting that shot first hand.

Looking more and more likely that we will see a Lakers , Celtics finals. I dont see the Celts losing two games in a row. Same with the Lakers.

Yeah when I saw the replay on SC, it looked like he went for the fake first like you stated but failed to draw a foul so he had to throw it up there. They shouldn't have lost that game in the first place.

Not a shooting foul but Fisher coming down on Barry is a foul. I have seen worst called on situations like that.

You cant rely on the refs to bail you out all the time. Pop might be a good coach but his players play the foul card way, way too much. Duncan and Ginobli tend to look for fouls instead of creating them. Ginobli is the biggest flopper I have ever seen, its actually quite embarrassing IMO. This team has so much talent but when the games get tough or dont go the way the game plan for, they get dirty, and tend to try to get calls.

I know then Rip to be in pain from it  I just thought he was trying to get a Ref timeout for his team. I hope he didn't tear anything though because with Sheed 1 Tech away from sitting in a suit watching the game from behind the bench if they loose Rip its over.

Agreed but there is no one in LA that can guard him. You just have to hope as a defender KG beats himself (IE forcing dumbpasses)

IF Celtics do go on and win it all KG is no doubt the MVP of the playoffs.

Exactly. With Ginobili's flops, you would think he graduated from Duke in two years.

I like Duncan's game but he *****es so much its ridiculous.

This whole playoffs(Officiating wise) has been a joke. The intentional foul calls have been way too few and far between, and when they do call them they arent even the worst fouls I see happening in the game. If they want to go old school and let the teams ball, then fine do it. You cant flip flop through the game and call them when you want to.

You could also make a case for Pierce. If he didn't step up in that game 7 vs the Cavaliers, they might not be where they are now.

Alot of players are like that though. You saw it tonight with Rip he is so use to getting the calls that when its not going his way he is in disbelief.

Though Pau Gasol is getting to be the worst.
