That would be very bad. You put more of your crappy personnel versus their guys that are used to confusing Tom Brady. Lane is a quality player at FB far more than Naanee at WR. Not only that but it would also prevent Bush from cutting outside.
One thing no one is talking about that I picked up today is that Ryan Tannehill is really good at play fakes. That along with his athleticism and gun of an arm is a deadly combo to attack opposing defenses. Me likey.
Also, people laugh at our receivers, and though we have no stars, Hartline and Bess are nice and pretty underrated. Since he's been here, Hartline has been great working the sidelines.
I think the only thing I learned form this game is that we are not devoid of talent like a lot of people swore. That's not to say we are a playoff team or anything and we have lots of holes...but we are not devoid of talent nor are we the worst team int he league. I still guarantee 8-8.
I've been saying since the end of camp that this team wasn't nearly as bad as most thought. And I'll keep saying it because I truly believe there is some really good, young talent on this team. Hopefully we're better than 8-8 though.
Their defense is nowhere near what it was IMO yes they were missing Revis but every aspect just looked suspect. They were repeatedly beat to the edge by very slow lumbering backs, didn't create all that much pressure and had pretty bad tackling issues. My only concern is their corners vs our WR's
I agree, I think him and tannehill are going to build some nice chemistry, being that throw is one of RT's strong points, especially on the move. I am also happy for Philbin. When asked what this win meant to him personally he was very happy and talked how his whole family was here including his parents. Started to get a little emotional thinking about his son and you can tell he was glad he got the win for not only his team but for his son.
i expect a loss against the jets. if we win i'll be surprised. sparano knows too much about our personnel and their tendencies and he'll spend the whole week going into devising a plan to beat ross and his old team. the pressure the jets bring should be the toughest tannehill has faced so far this year and the houston game proved he doesnt handle it well as of yet.
You would be my hero if you can give me a link to an article or transcript of Philbins comments after the game. Video links don't work for me. Thanks for sharing what you shared in the post I am qouting. I haven't been this excited about a Dolphins Head coach in a long time!
I'm really not sure why everyone thinks the Jet defense is still good. Aside from their corners they are actually pretty bad honestly. Tony Sparano could spend the next sixteen years preparing for this game and I don't think he would be a factor. He strikes me as one of the stupidest people Ive ever seen in my life the way he talks and coaches.
The Jets' lack of a great running game will be devastating against this front seven. If Sanchez is without the PA he's in deep ****. The biggest difference I see in this game? Miami continues to have its home field heat advantage.
Ive never seen a man so dedicated to the craft of field goals and setting them up so well I mean the man seems to know exactly where his offense should stall out in order to give his kicker the best chance!
