For those of you that dont know, our very own JW gotta gift from a friend and had to go to the game..JW, You know you have to go next week right JW????It's jet week man...lol That was fun, it was good to see a young team play some good football, in ALL three phases.. Padre was hopin for a serious reaction from Philbin after the win, I think it came thru loud and clear after the Gatorade shower brother..you like that huh? I believe Reggie's early troubles were because of the footing, but daaaaaaaam, that's a heisman winner right there baby, in his prime..Sign that mother. Rt looked nice, early jitters, rookie blues, found his clock, and started to utilize the whole repertoire. I wrote about this many times, but when he's going left, against his body, I don't think ive ever seen a more flexible explosive movement by a qb, he literally torques his body to set all his mechanics and fires accurately..hope we get that dude that broke down all his throws last week to do it again.. I guess they got the memo..Use Tannehills qb athleticism in the gameplan..maybe Watt is just to good on the edge, idk, but I would move that pocket a lot moving forward.. Lamar Miller looks good..THe U baby, the chants were loud, I can hear ya cane fans..in camp notes I talked about how his feet were following his instincts, about how he's changing platforms while his feet are going Fred flinstone and sh$)..On that TD run, he baby hop stepped twice to get to the hole.. Man this feels good, our rookies contributing, the U chants, that sh&$ makes me happy.. I would love for someone tweet this to Reggie.."Reggie, great game bro, you deserve it, we appreciate and acknowlege the work you put in, do us one favor before you sign for tens of millions, tell the fans, that you guys need us, tell them to come out and support..tell them to be loud, to stand and cheer". Dude is fully entrenched in the national spotlight. Jet week baby.. Oline...that's two weeks of great run locking, against quality units..Martin look like he held up..The kid needs to dedicate himself to his craft, he's soft, and there is no excuse for it. Can't wait for breakdowns of the trenches of what folks saw on the rewatch. I was so excited in this game I really didn't Iso a lot of players..lol That one bad Dansby play was weird, but he bounced back with a solo three and out.. Carroll looked to have a nice game, he seems to be getting closer to the receiver than Marshall.. RJ showed some closing explosiveness.. Jimmy got a lot of nickel work today. Has Reggie been signed yet? That's your boy Jeff, go get'em tiger, after tha, go home, kiss your wifey and kids, and have a good nites sleep.. Ok...it's Thiggy time", first of all, very nice find Ireland, you now are the major stockholder of Canadian pipeline. It was obvious in his first preseason game that he was the man..15 yard average, good hands, and good full speed cutting ability. Watching special teams today was impressive, they are the best in the nfl top to bottom..loved the Philbin move to pooch, the man looked in charge on the sideline today. Burnett looks bad.. Hartline..great game Mustache, dude has webs for hands..can't believe he missed everything and has plyed this well, over my expectations. Bess I believe was getting doubled a bit, hart and co stepped up. Got to get our pass protection down.. Tannehill doesn't give a fu&$ about pressure comin at him, dude just looks down the barrel and fires. Cliche but true. Damn colts won.. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
If JW can't make it to the Jets game and i wear my pink underwear and we beat the Jets, will you then give credit where credit is due? lol
Well, would have liked to see more sacks, but thought they were moving Palmer off of his spot. I'm a touch concerned that they may have given Tannehill half field reads, he was pumping Hartline the ball on the right side of the field. Satisfying win, watching the Jest get beat up right now.
I agree, Burnett looked HORRIBLE numerous times throughout the game. Yes sir we must resign Reggie, he's our true play maker and not only does he deserve it but it sends a message to the team. I have to go to this Jet game, not getting too high on this game but I'm glad we didn't lay an egg at home against the raiders. Let's keep it up at home, lets build a foundation where we get back to WINNING at home and the rest will fall into place.
I just got back home from the game about a half hour ago and I finally had a chance to go onto this forum. I had to laugh when I saw your thread heading. Just for the record, I didn't have to go to the game today. I was invited to go to the game and I chose to go. I am certainly happy I did and now I am completely spoiled after sitting in an air conditioned suite during the game. I was very impressed by the play of the Dolphins today. I expected them to beat the Raiders, I just didn't expect them to win as decisively as they did. They just looked like they wore the Raiders down in the second half. Tannehill impressed me with his rocket arm and his extremely quick release. I had seen it on TV, but he seemed even quicker and his arm seemed stronger in person. I have been someone on here who questioned Brian Hartline, and wondered if he could get open without Marshall on the team. He certainly showed today that he has become Tannehill's go to receiver. The OL started out a little shaky in regards to their pass protection and I still think this is something they will have to be better at next week, if they expect to beat the Jets. Reggie Bush was simply fantastic today and hopefully he can play like this the rest of the season. I also think Miller is a back that has to be active every week, even when Thomas returns to the active roster. The defensive front seven played an outstanding game. Even though they had no sacks, they kept constant pressure on Palmer throughout the game. I think that Dansby played possibly his best game as a Dolphin. The defensive backs played okay, but they still gave the Raiders receivers a lot of room to run around in the secondary. Hopefully the secondary will continue to improve as the season goes along. I am impressed with the coaching done at halftime. Last week against the Texans, the Dolphins came out in the second half and I thought they out played Houston in that half of football. Today the Dolphins came out in the second half and completely out played the Raiders. The coaches are obviously doing an outstanding job at halftime. This is certainly something we haven't seen around here in the last half decade. As negative as I have been for some time on here. I am certainly willing to give this entire organization, including Ireland, credit when they play as well as they did today. Of course this was the Raiders, one of the worst teams in the NFL. So I think next week will be the true test as to whether or not this team is headed in the right direction. Beat the Jets, and it will convince many of us that the Dolphins actually do have more talent on the roster than we have given them credit for. I happened to go on the Raiders forum before writing anything on here. The fans there are going crazy after losing to the Dolphins. Many of them already want the new HC and OC fired after two games. They are also writing about who the team should take with the first pick in the 2013 draft. So it just isn't Dolphin fans who go insane when their team continues to lose. As far as next week goes. I enjoyed the game so much today that I had already decided to go to the game next week. Since I haven't attended a home game for a while, I had forgotten how much fun it is at the stadium. Especially when the Dolphins win the game. Unfortunately my friend doesn't expect to get passes to the suite next week, so I will be sitting in the stands with the rest of the fans. I look forward to it, as long as I don't get stuck in the middle of a bunch of Jet fans. Hopefully the stadium next week will have far more fans then it did today, as long as the majority of those extra fans aren't rooting for the Jets.
Remember, though, that the Raiders were favored to win the game, and before the game you were touting that as proof of our lack of talent. I gave you a fist bump for the rest of the post.
Wanted to add that I was at the game today as well, and it was my first Dolphins game in 10 years. The phins are 3-0 in games I attend. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
You are correct. I did state that and I am man enough to admit I was wrong. As much as I have been negative in regards to the Dolphins on this forum. I have always stated that I would love nothing more than for them to show me I am totally wrong about them as a team. I want nothing more than for the Dolphins to be a winning team once again. I have used this forum as a way to vent my frustration with the direction of this organization in recent years. This doesn't mean I'm not a fan or that I don't want them to succeed. Because there is nothing I want more. I have stated numerous times that I look forward to the day that every single comment I make on the forum is positive in regards to the Dolphins. Today they gave me reason for hope, but we all know that the Raiders are a BAD team, So as happy as I am with the win today, I'll temper my comments by stating that while I did point out that the Raiders were favored in Vegas. I had picked the Dolphins to win the game. I still think that the Jets game next week will be a better barometer of where the team is right now. Yet, I am certainly more optimistic about next weeks game right now then I was before the Dolphins so outplayed the Raiders today.
I really should go more often. The first game I ever attended was the wildcard win over the colts in the 2000's Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
Sounds like a recipe for success for us superstitions. We should also be adament about finding out whatever new superstitions worked today, and making sure whoever needs to repeat whatever worked! lol. That's what I call superstitious dedication at a big level for the sake of the team!
I am trying to figure out why you are so eager to keep mentioning that you wear pink undies... And volunteering to continue doing so.
Its something that superstitious people would like to know. I just happened to find a superstitious thread where it belongs. lol. And by the way, its a first for me.
I would give you thanks for making me laugh, even though your statement is wrong. lol. but its to hard to thank someone on this phone.
You got to love how Philbin actually made adjustments at the half. Something Sparano never learned how to do.
Not if the Refs keep turning their backs on all the holds against him. He's been getting mugged for two straight games!
Not me, but he did play pretty damn well today. I don't ever see him being a feature Wr but what I do see, is that he is very tough and a pretty good football player.
