I completely agree. I just find it awesome that he might prefer loyalty to us than a big pay raise on a roster.
How much does that suck? The family is packing up to head to the Jets, and then he gets cut 3 days later. This can be an ice cold business!
As soon as Tui arrived in NY he was asked if he had any ill feelings toward Miami that he'd care to elaborate on while discussing the playbook, and Tui told 'em to shove it. lol
My takeaway from the series was how uninteresting, boring, talentless, listless and feeble the team looked.
What's with them cutting it to only 50 minutes? And they focus too much on guys who aren't even on the team.
Romo had the best line and he's not on our team. Ireland was a bit smoother, I wonder if he was camera shy at first? Nice job getting the last minute Garrard news in. The show grew on me a bit as it went on. I do feel I know these guys as people now, which might make me throw less things during games than as uuge....
My gal perked up when Ryan and Lauren couldn't build that little table. My first thought was Jesus was a bad carpenter.
Loved all five shows... bummed it's over Hope they do it again next year. How did this season compare to prior seasons ratings wise, anyone know?
I loved every minute of the five episodes. I hope they never do it again, unless we're at the point where we are elite. The people on this site lose their freaking minds with the access. That's been annoying as all hell.
And his response to Samuda fits with my idea that his air of slight detachment and intimidation with players at this point has been intentional.
Remind me, what was the response? I personally thought Philbin came across much better in this episode overall.
Philbin improved with every show...I like his disposition, and his demeanor. His communication skills need work, but there are plenty of terrible communicators that are great winners (Bellicheat, Andy Reid)
Usually a team gets a boost in public confidence from Hard Knocks coverage. I think it's safe to say...that didn't happen...
I half forgot that was Samuda. Very boring, heavily edited interaction. I tuned out. But you're right.
Do they? If the team was 3-1 in preseason, and Hard Knocks covered the same stuff, wouldn't the public confidence be up?
LOL, the colonoscopy is only beginning. We still have 16 games worth of it...4-12 sounds about right.
Didn't like the line "the unexpected development" of Pat devlin. The organization should have staffs which consistently develop, and expect to develop, the young players on it. It should not be some sort of exception or surprise.
its a new staff and maybe the new staff takes a big part in his development, i watched the show now, i liked it for the most part, still feel bad about Chad Johnson, i honestly believe he could have helped this team, but i also understand why he had to go and because of this i didn“t think it was necessary to waste another 3 min of the final episode on him
lol I guess Philbin's opinion/philosophy is really affecting his decisions on player personnel and you can see that by the most recent draft. Maybe a turn for the better? who knows... I'm also thinking that maybe HK shows Ireland saying that earlier on in camp but choose to edit it and air right before cuts because it would be odd for him to say that and then the next day release him, but you never know.
I mean at least give him another year. Its mind boggling we kept Naanee over Gates. I'd rather have Plaxico than Naanee.
