Would not surprise me if Tony does not lobby for Murtha also.. Not a bad backup and tons better then Jason Smith who you guys just got in a trade with the Rams. That was the craziest trade I have ever heard of. One bad OT for another really bad OT with one of them having a salary of 4 million ( Smith ) Its said though the Rams wanted him out so bad they paid down 1.5 million of his salary just to trade him. I have a new rule proposal... any team in the same division that gets your player off waivers should have to compensate you in the form of a league approved draft pick.

Aaitu is not Sparano's former guy, unless one is really splitting hair. He didn't join the PS last season till October and Tony left not long after that. I doubt they had time to really form this great bond. Besides, Tony doesn't have the power to bring in anyone. He's got his hands full trying to coordinate their offense.

Its been a time honored tradition to quiz rivals discards in order to glean any useful info they may have.Players that are unwanted and cut are still smarting and are predisposed to tattle. Most get cut anyway after spilling the beans.
I look forward to watching Gates making highlight catches with one foot out of bounds for the Jets this year. Aatui getting claimed not a surprise though, that was probably the most likely claim from the planet theory teams out there (which appears to include us so was a small surprise he got cut in the first place).

We have had a long series of rookie head coaches who are not that saavy.Its the wily experienced head coaches who look for any edge they can find.
