DE Craig Marshall rookie from Giants had 1 or 2 sacks against New England, got my eye from the sacks he was quick.
thats why i picked him in the 7th round of my draft and will gladly see him take over after probably week 1-3 when bradshaw is hurt again
Vikings waived or released RB Lex Hilliard, FB Ryan D'Imperio, OL Chris DeGeare, WR Emmanuel Arceneaux, DE Nick Reed, DE Jeff Charleston and DT Trevor Guyton. didn“t we try to sign Arceneaux back then ?
Eric Branch (@Eric_Branch) 8/31/12 6:53 PM The #49ers have released WR Chris Owusu, per a league source. He would seem to be a practice-squad possibility. This was retweeted by Caplan.
Texans waived or released WRs Juaquin Iglesias and Jeff Maehl, TEs Logan Brock and Philip Supernaw, DEs Keith Browner and Mitch King, LBs D.J. Bryant, Delano Johnson, Shawn Loiseau and Rennie Moore, DTs Hebron Fangupo and David Hunter, OT Nathan Menkin, S Eddie Pleasant, C Cody Wallace and G Cody White. http://www.rotoworld.com/sports/nfl/football?rw=1
Any one know something about TE Alex Silvestro from Pats they keep bringing him back in and stashing him he was waived again by them today.
I would also sign Deion Branch and waive Naanee. Players who are familiar with the New England culture and can infuse that into this team at this stage of its rebuilding effort are very valuable IMO, even if they're 32 years old. Sort of the anti-Chad Johnson/Brandon Marshall if you will.
Injuries have derailed his career. Not to mention, never thought he was as good as others said. Got burned a lot despite making plays.
I think this regime doesn't like the shifty, slot-type receivers. Between Pruitt, Cunningham and Hogans departures, we've gotten down to where Bess is the only true inside receiver (yes he CAN play outside, but not nearly as productively as inside, imo... even on the outside he catches in routes or comebacks, bever over-the-top stuff). Point is, I don;t think Philbin will go for Branch.. and assuming he and Ireland are communicating on the type of WRs they need, the fact that there was possible trade talk over Anthony Armstrong is a good indication that we are looking for a fly-route guy.
Very poor fundamentally. Needs a ton of work. Special teamer. Iglesias and Maehl can't get open IMO. Hebron Fangupo is a guy they will try to stash on PS. Very strong nose tackle. Very hard to move. But older player that needs work and time to develop.
Broha from Giants, Borel, Moss, or Gurley from Packers, Ford from Philly. Those come to mind right off the bat. I liked what I saw from Broha, and being where I am from I have seen Lousiana Tech play alot and their defense was very good.
Yeah well, IMO that stuff needs to take a distant back seat to the development of this team's culture, which is priority number one right now, right alongside the development of Ryan Tannehill. IMO this team needs veteran players who know what a winning culture is like and can get on board with what Joe Philbin is trying to do here. If they aren't quite as good as Anthony Armstrong at running a fly route, so be it.
I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but Jordan Shipley needs to be looked at. He reminds me of wes.
From what I read he was healthy in Bucs camp and just didnt have enough time to learn the offense. Id certainly take a flier on Shipley, McNutt and Tori Gurley (formley of GB). Cant be any worse then some of the bottom tier sludge we already have.
I hope you are not referring to Matthews because I think he actually resembles a wr. He was consistent and good on special teams.
