Only 12 cuts so far that are verified by Volin (and who was at practice and not): http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...-steve-slaton-chris-hogan-still-here-for-now/ Plus the trade of Cook which makes 13 moves. So 9 moves left according to his roster.
Okay, I can agree with that reasoning. I was just trying to make a point that perhaps Jerry doesn't fit the new Dolphin mold. I would agree that he should be traded and not cut,if the Dolphins were to decide to get rid of him. I think though, that he is just not practicing today because of an injury in the Dallas game. I expect him to make the 53 man roster, based on the fact that they just don't have a lot of depth on the OL. With Long injured, Jerry will probably be the starting RG in the Houston game, unless his injury prevents him from playing, which I doubt.
Dominique Franks from ATL was released. I don't know much about him other than he is young and started 4 games for them last year. Anyone have an opinion if he is worth looking at?
i saw that too, i think someone landed on his legs from behind and then you heard that scream, i thought it would be really bad
lots of players are listed as injured right now john jerry, derrick shelby, jason trusnik, jarrell root, kevyn scott, the way andrew macdonald got hosed against dallas i´m shell shocked he is still on the team
ArmandoSalguero Players who are here who already know they're getting cut by 9 pm will end up on practice squad.

Who started the whole trade rumor on James Jones and Armstrong? This is crap coverage both on trade rumors and cut players. Utter confusion in the world of Dolphin media coverage. I miss you Darlington.
We are talking about Fuller? He is likely headed to the practice squad and that could be why he is practicing (sort of a backhanded agreement). Or since it was Hartline's first practice back, maybe they kept Fuller around just in case?
i just realized the whole AFC East went 1-15 in the preseason....the pats beat the saints 7-6....thats it
It's possible that ongoing trade talks which might see other players moved could be a reason for not informing players otherwise expected to be cut. If such a trade occurs it might open up a roster spot and allow one of these remaining players to stay. At least until the waiver claims come through and they then get cut anyway.
Tomorrow is a particularily important day in forming this roster. I look forward to it more so than today.
Haven't seen his name in the official lists yet, but it may well be that we ended any discussions on the basis that we believe he may get cut anyway. Of course it's also possible that our FO isn't even considering him and the whole thing was speculation.
A lot of that word "speculation" when covering this team. I don't mind being surprised by some unknown acquisition.
Good catch. The Patriots will still end up winning 10 games, however, while the rest of the division may not hit .500. Weird how that works.
