[Merged] Miami Dolphins Cuts to 53 players

This is assuming Murtha, Samuda, and Garner all make it for sure?

 

A lot of the guys that make it today will be gone tomorrow. This is like part one of the roster development for opening day. Some of you have asked about why only 3 corners. Well, they put in claims for sure. Same for OL, WR, and maybe linebacker.

 

I was stunned when we passed on McNutt to draft Cunningham.

 

Not to mention AZ just drafted Floyd for Fitz to mentor.

 

I am not sure Garner or Yeatman make if if they put in claims. You could say the same for Jerry.

 

I meant make the 53 man roster.

 

Me too. I was very upset but drafting Rishard Matthews softened the blow.

1. Gates was not a "stupid" pick either. IIRC just about everyone was excited when the pick was made b/c Gates was regarded as top 100 talent.
2. What went wrong IMO was having to play him too much last year to where we can't PS him this year, b/c he has the talent to become something in the league.
3. I was under the impression coaches are most responsible for deciding on the cuts.

Sorry to see that so many of you are still working. While getting older certainly has it draw backs. The absolutely best part of being older is that I am retired and I get to play golf while watching all the cars backed up in traffic while the people inside the cars are on their way to work.

Of course, with the economy being what it is today. Instead of being upset about working today, be happy that you have a job and are not one of the unemployed, still looking for a job. Hopefully all of you working today will have the next three days off to enjoy your lives.
