I was all for trading wake and dansby once we traded marshall and drafted tannehill. I didn't like the Vontae trade because I thought we could rebuild around him but if were going to rebuild I have no problem unloading all of our older players.
Sid has a new show on the third ranked sports station in a market that in reality should only be supporting one. So it's entirely realistic that he'd report idle speculation as fact to garner attention. Moore may well still end up getting traded however, which is the joy of getting paid to talk crap for a living to people with short memories.
If a WR or CB is coming in return, then it is a good trade. Garrard better be able to play if that trade was made.
I only said that because he's older, and won't be worth more than he is now. I don't want to, just spit-ballin!
Mildly surprised by Gates being cut, but not too much as it was a real race to the bottom among all the WRs not named Bess. I ought Gates speed would tip things in his favor but this staff actually expects, you know, production. It would be a strong signal if they cut Naanee now.
One thing is certain. We are either keeping Moore or Gerrard not both.So if Gerrard looks to be improving healthwise he is a better fit for this offense than Moore so this scenario is entirely plausible.
My money says someone picks the little speedster up. Stick him opposite side from Wallace in Pitts and if he can catch look out.
I would say that is likely but not certain. I think the only thing certain is we aren't trading Tannehill. Anything else wouldn't shock me.
Breaking News: Omar shutting down Twitter account, and leaving paper for good....horray, horray....! No official word if the Armando is making same agreement!
Not me. Either one is a back up here, so the health issue isn't as worrisome. I prefer my chances with Garrard's health over Moore's ability with the offense if Tanny goes down.
I don't like Westerman being cut, he was a guy who at least provided some pass rush. Mind you he wasn't dominant at any stage but he actually apply pressure that caused a QB to move. Given what we have in that department, we could use all the help we can get. Mind you, if they decide to keep Shelby around, that might not be a bad idea, he has a nice burst and decent length for the position. Maybe we'd practice squad him for the year and see what he can do after a year of work.
Yeah I get it, sort of. Plus, Moore would fetch something in a trade. Still not crazy about the idea of Devlin and The Gimp as our backups though.
