Final WR Unit: Brian Hartline, Davone Bess, Rishard Matthews, Clyde Gates, Marlon Moore.

However, one of those final two guys could be cut in favor of an acquisition. Which guy depends on who the acquisition is.

Michael Irvin does not have a voice for TV or radio. He sounds like he has a mouthful of mush or grits all the time.

Just going by numbers, we need 8 minimum DBs. Who're 8 better that we could keep?

I am watching it on replay.... not to much to write home about. Lamar Miller looks pretty damn good tonight, Slaton looked pretty good too. Rishard Matthews showed up to play, and Randall looks like a keeper on defense. Nolan Carroll and Sean Smith also had very nice games.

I missed the game but Tannehill was 5-7 so maybe he looked nice.

Usually I'd be right there with you but Bess actually didn't play I believe. His roster spot is 100% and they wanted to see the other guys. I think that is what happened anyway. Soooo probably Fasano all five.

    Anyone see how J-Mart looked?

    That is correct.

However, his problem has been dealing with the kind of thoroughbreds you find at DE on the first string. Tonight was not an indication that he's any better equipped for that.

That's a good point. The first team should be expected to more than handle the 2nd string unit.

On the Naanee fade from Tannehill, I thought Naanee did a bad job of recognizing he had no play on the ball but could've at least come back through the corner to draw the PI.

no tony romo, no jake long. i would say that makes it even and we looked better from the 2 drives that most of the starters were playing. thats all u can hope for at a pre season game.

Should have been a flag anyway. The defender wasn't looking back and was totally playing the man.

I am not a Dolphins fan, but a Cowboys fan. Was reading your guys' thread to help me get a better understanding of my own team (as I do every opponent's game day thread). It helps me evaluate where we're at...

Anyway, I only signed up to tell you all that Dockery left the game to go to the funeral of his brother, Army Srgt, who was killed in Afghanistan.

Sir, you are mighty angry. Why? What did Sean Lee do to you? I bet you any Dolphin fan would welcome Lee to the team. Lee is a stand up guy. Coaches have nothing but nice things to say about him. He is a leader and a warrior, and the kind of guy you look for to be on your football team. He plays the game the right way with grit, but nothing less than integrity.

Already one of my favorite players, I grew to respect him beyond anything you could probably understand after his heartfelt and selfless statement he released regarding Penn State and the victims of the sex crimes. I would be willing to bed had he wore a teal jersey, you wouldn't be speaking in this manner.

I know you probably don't care what I have to say, but it's just sad to see that fans of other teams cannot show respect to a guy like Lee.

    G'day.
