I see a trade and a waiver pick up at this point. I think two new wrs on the roster. Who the remaining guys are is the mystery, but you can bet your Sherman that Bess will be one of them.
pretty good hops for the tumbleweed. only straight line speed though. tends to lose body parts when attempting to catch the ball. probably not a good long term solution.
Gaffney is vested. He won't go through waivers and can sign with anyone if he is cut, which I do not expect will happen.
Can't remember where I read it but I saw somewhere that Gaffney is on the bubble along with Branch and one is likely to be cut. I'll try to find it. I'll post it if I do.
They could decide to keep just one of them, then also Edelman and 2 of the young guys. Either Ebert, Slater, and/or Holley.
PFT had Donte Stallworth as being cut earlier this afternoon, but it looks like that article was pulled.
Gaffney officially released. He's not strong and has next to 0 run after catch skills but dude (a) runs good routes and gets open (b) he'll catch it.
Gaffney: 947 yards last year, over 65 catches each of the past 2 seasons. Not a #1 and lacks speed, but he is obviously better at catching the ball than everyone on Miami's roster except Bess. May be banged up...but the Dolphins obviously can't be picky. Unless they want to have to run the ball in the red zone all the time or kick field goals.
