sounds like they are saying the lines should be completely parallel and there should be no a joining line which is at 90 degrees.

 

i think zeke was just saying the results will be disastrous

I think the base of the pole fits the criteria..crossing the sidewalk parallel.

 

I also think the yellow painted pattern on the street fits.
