    1 more day.....

I can't believe the wait is nearly over. It's funny to go back and read some of the early rumors (Eddie Murphy as The Riddler anyone?) of this film. Hopefully it will be worth the wait and hype.

Still debating on seeing the movie tonight at midnight. I have work tomorrow at 830......so I'd be exhausted. I wanna make sure no dick kids will ruin it....however I think the county I live in has a curfew, they could come out with parents/older siblings.....so it's risky. I don't want the experienced effed.....then again I can wait till tomorrow night, when EVERYONE will be there....or a saturday morning matenee. Decisions, decisions.....

Also, it was like yesterday finkle that you started this thread and we were all discussing filming locations, rumored villians, etc! So crazy how fast time goes.

This is one of those things that is worth being tired the whole next day. Im not sure if it's possible to live up to the hype, but I have no doubt its going to be solid. Doors open at 630 at my theatre and they are playing the original Batman wich I have no desire to see BUT getting there at 1130 and Im sure I will be spending 3 hours watching a movie looking straight up at the screen.

This has been a good thread and while I was originally lukewarm on Bane over Riddler, I since have been won over and this dude may be one of the best villians of our era.

I vote you go see the damn thing, wouldnt worry about punk kids ruining it.

Enjoy everyone watching Bane kick the ---- out of the caped crusader.

I dont see Nolan doing another one. And if thats the case I cant see anyone topping this recent run of films. They better wait aboput 10-15 years for a new demographic. Nolan made this series pretty damn untouchable imo.

Going to see this in IMAX on Monday. Can't wait.

And guys, seriously, don't beat yourselves up with Batman 4 talk. Nolan isn't doing another Batman movie, the run is over. The next Batman movie, whenever they make it, will probably just be a tie-in with the JLA movie that DC wants to make—sort of like how the next Rocksteady Batman game is a retro forced JLA tie-in.

I don't think it's the fact that a critic dislikes the movie, but it seems a lot of times these critics hate on a movie (especially a hugely hyped one) because they think that being snarky to a popular movie makes them look cool. I remember when Avengers came out and early reviews were counted and there was one negative review out of say 20, and the reviewer was just this chick trying to be all intellectual. Turns out she also gave snow white and the huntsmen a fresh and avengers a splat.

All I'm going to say is that I don't see how anyone can be too disappointed with this.

There are a few things some people might not like, but there's more than enough quality moments to win over pretty much anyone, imo.

Oh yeah I can totally seeing how critics would take that stand but still to threaten a critic over a review is a bit much.

They are probably going to reboot the series. It will be out in less than 4 years.

    Nolan fans won't like it.

Okay, I enjoyed this movie but had some gripes. A friend had to remind me why Bruce had a cane. Its been 8 years, never healed? Also Batman knows who Bane is, and he knows Bane knows who he is, same with Blake, why use the voice still? I hated Banes death, anti-climatic if you ask me. Now the ending, first it was obvious that Blake would become the new "Batman" maybe Batman beyond since Batman said anyone can be batman, my thing is, why leave with a cliff hanger at the last chapter? Also Blake knowing Bruce was Batman because of the look in his eyes was far-fetched. Also I loved that they Killed Batman, wish they kept it that way. "You die the hero, or live long enough to become the villain." Would have been a nice ending, how could he even survived the blast? And also it look like Catwomen was a lesbian, all of a sudden she is with batman? And it was corny to see Alfred be on vacation only to see Bruce. With that said, loved the movie. Loved Bane, loved the Darkness, loved Big Ben getting killed, great movie, very enjoyable but it did have flaws.

    Agree 100%.
I don't want say that the ending "saved it" for me, because it would of been good regardless, but It definitely was good.

I will add that Anne Hathaway did a terrific job, alot of people thought she may butcher it but it was infact the opposite.

I disagree. I think Nolan fans would rather they reboot the series than to have another director take over the Nolan created Batman universe.

I'm personally excited to see who comes in next and where that director takes the Batman franchise.

Just noticed that even though you used a spoiler tag I still caught your post by using Tapatalk. In the latest posts you can see the beginning of the latest post, some reason it didn't filter out the spoiler until I loaded the thread.

Thankfully I just watched the movie so I didn't get spoiled, but about 30 minutes into the movie you could of figured out what you spoiled for yourself anyways.

    And JT, about your gripes:
you were talking about him surviving the blast? He was using the auto pilot from a cell phone. He wasn't anywhere near it

That's weird. I didn't spoil anything for myself. I felt the trailers did plenty to lead everyone to believe that would happen.

The first bold point, I think because Nolan didn't want to completely destroy the franchise for other people. If you kill batman and leave it at that, it puts a solid conclusion to the batman story, but it makes it difficult for someone else to continue the franchise. This way someone could do a batman with JGL at the helm, or batman beyond or even nightwing. The second bold point, I don't think the look in his eye was what tipped him off as batman. My understanding is that the look in Bruce's eyes was the anger and pain at having your parents killed and being an orphan. It's what allowed JGL to relate to Bruce. I think he figured out he was batman another way. Also some guys on reddit were saying that JGL could have been more of an homage to Tim Drake than Dick Grayson, as Drake is the only Robin to figure out batman's identity on his own.

Yea a teaser. I didn't like it much. It appeared to show Superman as some type of nomad wander in his life. Kind of like Batman at the beginning of begins. Unless I misinterpreted it.

I really liked the 3rd film. Not sure where I'd rank it to be honest with you. I loved all 3 films, but I'd probably say TDK is my #1, TDKR is #2 and BB is #3. I'm just thankful Nolan and Co. gave us 3 amazing films.

You would think with all the Batgear they created, they would have added a voice changer so Bruce can save his voice

Seriously after 3 movies people are still complaining about Batman's voice? Such a minor detail in the grand scope of things, just be thankful we were given almost 9 hours of greatness.

The cane was used as a metaphor. He really didn't need the cane, he was using it as a clutch since he wasn't Batman anymore. Notice once he became Batman again he no longer needed it.

The movie didn't end with a cliffhanger. The series was about Bruce's journey. Bruce is finally happy and living his life, he finished his mission as Batman. The stuff with Blake was simply to show the passing of the torch that the legend will continue to live.

TDKR made $27 million for their midnight shows. The Avengers made $18 million, while TDK made 18.4 million.

    EDIT: TDKR made 30 million.
