No. But I have the game taped so I will be sure to watch it again. Amazing second half by L.A. Apparently Kobe needed a half to wake up and play basketball again. I really think this game might have been a spirit breaker already for San Antonio. Just devastating for them to lose after being up by so much. A couple areas that L.A. SEEMED to improve on were the offensive rebound prevention, and close out defense on the shooters. During the Utah series, the Jazz were seemingly hitting 3 all day long with no one in sight. In this game, L.A. seemed to do a good job of running at the Spurs and chasing them off the line or contesting the shot. Also, count Robert Horry in real of players who transcend my teams. He will forver be rooted for by myself, regardless of what team he is on. I must admit, I tightened up a bit when he came off the bench late. A small part of me thought he was going to sink the dagger into his former team.
I think it was just inside 1 minute. It was funny because his head was in his lap and as he disagreed with the call he started shaking it, I bet the guy was like never getting courtside seats AGAIN!
The game was worth every penny. That's why you never leave the stadium until the final horn rings. Keep dreaming.
damn, i turned the game off when the Lakers were down by 20 in the third, checked later and they were down by 4 with 5 min left in the 4th. went in the den and turned it on and i couldn't believe it, they won by 4.
Thats what makes Kobe so dangerous. He can turn it on, like that. Score 11 in the third and 14 in the fourth I beleive.
Yeash, he also changed his shoes at halftime to his new ones. Anyone think his lack of shooting in the first half and the epic turnaround in the second was Kobe doing a marketing ploy at th epossible expense of his teammates and fans? Me neither. But I am buying those shoes...
To me, KG isn't that type of person. I'm with Sec, you need to have that swagger in the 4th quarter to win championships, and KG doesn't. He shies from the ball. One of my all-time favourite players was Charles Oakley. At the end of his career he had no knees, no hops, and no jumper, but just because he understood the game and was badass, his teams always had a chance. He had that resilience. Same with Zo. The Raps - including Vince - were never the same when he left the building, and me thinks, there's no way the Heat win that championship without Zo. Maybe Paul Pierce provides it for the Celtics, but it's not going to be KG.
Thats fine but Kg has came up big in some 4th QT games. See KG can get you 20+ a night he just needs he teammates step up. When KG isn't scoring he is feeding the ball to his teammates creating plays that way.
Thats game, Boston is making such stupid mistakes while Detroit is captializing. Pistons will steal one in Boston.
Detroit is matching what ever Boston is dishing out and then some! Detroit is playing picture perfect playoff basketball. Hard to believe Boston is going to lose when the first time the "big 3" all showed up. Boston loss because of the dumb fouls and bench.
Good game here at the end. I see what Phunwin is saying about Doc Rivers and his constant belly aching about the refs though. He is doing his team a disservice with that. It appears as if the Pistons may steal home court advantage, which is huge for Boston.
Wow I love the Non call on Hamilton for grabbing Pierces jersey to turn the corner, pretty BS if you ask me.
True but you never know how a game will go. As it looks they lose the series in 6. but you can't really predict whats going to happen in Detroit because Allen finally looks like he can shoot.
Very true I still think Detroit in 6 because they have so much experience in the post season that it trumps the Celtics. Detroit has been in big game situations in the playoffs while Boston hasn't. It shall be interesting how they play in game 3 if they play flat like they always do then Detriot could take the series in 5.
Thats all it takes really, he hit big shots. To me why they lost was Rondo. He forced dumb passes and didn't put the ball up when he drove in. I don't know what it is with that guy, in some games he pick ups the slack and hardly turns the ball over other games he doesn't want the ball and makes dumb plays.
