Bravos going bad right now, can't pitch, can't hit, playing like we are sleep walking on defense.

Yeah that was a pretty crappy losing streak. Hopefully they don't get owned by the Nationals again this weekend.

Awesome game last night. We need to take the game tonight too since Minor is up tomorrow and that's basically an automatic loss.

Great win, good to see we are bouncing back from that losing streak, but the offense seems flat.

I'm not sure how far this team can really go without some bullpen help. I hope Wren is looking around.

Freeman is just missing so many games (eyes, thumb, belly ache, glasses, etc, etc, etc,).

he has to man up and get his at bats....

**the above was posted by a Fantasy Owner angry at one of his key bats missing lots of action - disregard the crazy ranting guy**

    LOL:lol:

He does need to get back in the game. This season is starting to get a little rough. Lucky us to draw the Yankees again. We could be almost down to .500 by Thursday. When the team is hitting the pitching sucks, when the pitchers step up the offense becomes stagnant. These guys are driving me insane. I haven't seen any news on Brandon Beachy but with the way things are mostly going I'll just assume Tommy Johns is coming and we won't see him for two years...

Brandon Beachy was diagnosed with a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.

Well, that's no good. Beachy is scheduled to be examined Tuesday by Dr. James Andrews, but the possibility of Tommy John surgery will certainly be discussed. Even if he decides to rehab the injury, he won't pitch for the Braves anytime soon.

This Braves team has no heart, I've not seen such a disinterested team since the rotten yrs.

I agree about the no heart part. If this team doesn't pull things together and make the postseason I think Freddie should be replaced. Teams like the Mets, O's, and Nationals are accomplishing more with less than what Atlanta has. This is a great year to re-claim the NL East with the downfall of the Phillies and the Braves are content to apparently just sit this one out.

Jurrjens' pitch command was excellent last night. It was a lot better of an outing than I expected to see from him in his return.

I was shocked to see him pitch so well tonight, especially since his performance in Triple A has been spotty. But that's why baseball is so great, anything can happen. I'm going to the game tonight, it's too bad the pitching match up isn't better but hey a game is a game.

I really regret turning the Braves game off last night. What a wild one and something that should stick in the back of the Nationals' minds from here on out. Lost in the craziness of the game's results was Chipper becoming the all time RBI leader among players who primarily played third base. I hope last night's game is looked back on as a turning point for Atlanta this season.

Big boost to rotation...could signal a huge push @ Nats.

The Braves have acquired Ryan Dempster, from the Cubs, according to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports (Twitter links). The right-hander can veto any trade, but he is not likely to demand an extension in order to approve the deal, according to Jon Heyman. Randall Delgado could be going to Chicago in the deal, Bowman adds. The sides will also find a way to balance the money with the Braves getting cash from Chicago to even things out.

The Braves won't be able to obtain draft pick compensation for Dempster even if he signs elsewhere after the season. In other words, he's strictly a rental unless the sides reach an extension between now and the end of the season. The Braves believe they'd have a good shot at re-signing Dempster, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (on Twitter).

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports writes that Dempster to the Braves now has a 50-50 chance of happening.

Really dont know why Dempster would decline the trade....but who knows any more. Strange indeed!

Robbed of an out in the ninth in a tight game on an absolutely terrible call at first base. That guy either a) felt sorry for the Marlins b) was ready to go to the house or c) needs to get his eyes checked.

Maybe he enjoys losing. I hope they have a plan B because they need another reliable arm in the rotation in the worst way. The only one we can count on for quality starts right now is Hudson. Maybe Sheets but we've only seen a small body of work.
