    Fair enough.
We'll agree to disagree. I like classic looking logos.

All 4 of those new logos are better than their old counterparts IMO.

And I guess I'm a simple fan because I like the Dolphins and have since I was 5 despite not having any sort of connection to the team or area. I always assumed I started liking them at such a young age because of the colors.

Too each his own I guess.
I think the two that stand out the most for me are the Broncos and Pats. I think both those old logos are way, way better than the new ones. Especially New England, I love when they wear those throwbacks. That old logo is such a classic, IMO.

Seriously? The old Pats logo is nearly as awful as the old Bucs logo. Please tell me you see the same thing wrong with a guy in uniform happily bending over and grabbing a ball as I do.

    Hideous.

Bring back the damn colours we wore from 1974-1988. Our colours are white, orange and aqua. Get rid of the blue. Get rid of the drop shadows on the numbers. Get rid of the AWFUL aqua pants. Take the 1974-1988 logo and sharpen it up a bit. I like the current Dolphin. I'd essentially use the old sun with the new Dolphin.

Wear the white tops/white pants for daytime home games.
Wear the aqua tops/white pants for home night games and afternoon late November and December games.
Wear white tops/white pants or aqua tops/white pants for road games.

That's it. I like the orange tops but I'm done with them. The aqua pants need to be binned and never seen again.

Tradition not "fads". If we switch to a Falcons style jersey I'll punch someone in the face.

Some logos are just timeless, and fit any era..... some don't. The Bucs,Pats,Broncos had to change, and so did the dolphins. But this franchise and it's fan base are infamous for living off past glory, to a ridiculous extent. In an effort to update it without upsetting the old school fans, they ruined it completely.

It's going to change drastically this time, and there's going to be a lot of unhappy people who let themselves believe the team would actually do something like please the grumpy old fans again as apposed to moving forward with the times. Brace yourselves.... we're moving into the future now. We all understand that part of the appeal to young kids back in the day was the logo and colors. Well I promise you we're not winning over any new fans with our looks these days. I'm sure we'll wear throwbacks a few times a year if we're smart. Hell the jets still wear those Titan uni's more than once a season.

At certain times Jazz music was considered noise, Rock n' Roll was hideous garbage, and Hip hop wasn't music at all. Times they are a changin'.

I basically agree on the logos. The changes to me are all a push, except the Pats. Major step down on that one. Pat Patriot was a classic, even though it evoked some latent homosexual thoughts for at least one person. That thought never remotely crossed my mind from seeing the logo every Sunday for all those years.

A guy in a uniform bends over and grabs a football how many times in every game? Does that bring up those latent homosexual thoughts for you too, or just the old Pats logo?

This is why I am hesitant about a logo change. What if they botch it and come up with something like this:

Personally, other than the Broncos, which I have as a push, I give the edge to the new logos. The old Pats logo in particular was one I always listed among the worst in the league. And IIRC the old Pat's logo was one that generally made most "worst logos" list during it's time (along with the old Bucs). I get that Mr. Clean likes it, but he's probably in a very small minority. Actually, here is an old 2009 article that talked about the Pat's logo change:

For years, Pat Patriot was like the kid on the playground who wore thick glasses, picked his nose, and dressed funny.

The other kids made fun of him and beat him up.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/229902-whats-old-is-new-say-hello-to-pat-patriot

My recollection is that this is how most thought of the old Pat's logo.

Yeah that's it! The logo is the past every grumpy old fan is living off....rediculously! GTFO with that crap! Older and younger people should be together grumpy after watching the garbage this team has put on the field this last decade! It has nothing to do with the logo, the colors, the old, the young or the field!

Everytime I see someone say that the old grumps are living in the past just lets people know how jealous they are because they could not see what transpired into some of the greatest football ever played. You shouldn't be blaming the old people, and you have absolutely no idea how drastic anything is going to change so save it. We've listened to this same crap for years only to see something minor happen and those boasting as you are now discaF'npear into the night.

If they change it there is nothing anyone can do. If they don't though, it will always be the same crap. Next year there is going to be............

Wow, so you found an esteemed Bleacher Report writer who also didn't like Pat Patriot. I really don't know how much other fans did or didn't like that logo. It was changed pre internet days and not many Pats fans in my neck of the woods, then or now.

I see too that you conveniently left out this part of the article:

So much for the lack of popularity of Pat Patriot among their fans.

Anyone can do as they wish but saying the old grumpy people are living in the past( liking the old logo)is about as untrue as it gets. Plenty of the same people saying they want them to go to the throwback logo are very young.

I personally do not like change. Not out of fear either.

All i said was this franchise has lived off of and promoted its past glory for too long. All things considered, i love the old logo and uni's. But its highly doubtful they switch back to them, and . When anyone wants to talk about new concepts however, the brigade comes out to complain, and ridicule. So i did call yall grumpy, rightfully so.

Blame for what ? You can GTFO/save it. Ya'll came in into this thread to complain, right ? Just debating with ya's.
Funny thing is I may even be older than most here, even you. Worshiped Ozzy and Sabbath as a kid. Still want a new look tho, i have since 1998 i think !

And as far as latent homosexual thoughts............PSG wins that category with his logo addition there. Might as well rename Miami the "Glory Holes".

Not liking change is the problem and comes across as grumpy or fearful because it is irrational. Change is a nebulous concept there's nothing there to like or not like. When anything changes it can either be better, worse or lateral. Change needs results to quantify it. Saying you don't like change is like saying you don't flavor....it needs to be quantified first.

No one's going to argue these were the best ever. If they did these I think it would be sick, highly doubt that's going to happen. Imagine yourself in Ross's shoes, or the player's he'd ask. The fanbase is probably close to 50/50. I just want the 97-201? era gear changed one way or the other ! But remember Ross mentioned the color scheme as well. We need to be on the same page with the aqua/orange thing and not let that happen, right ?

Still most important of all is moving the seats closer to the field ! Doo it.

Ross can change to these, or leave them the same, or go screw himself. I haven't liked him at all ever since I heard about him doing a fund raiser for Mittens. Fook the both of them.

Thats BS! Calling out the old grumpy fans saying that they need to get over it because it's absolutely going to happen is ok right?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with not wanting to change something you like! Nothing whatsoever!

No that's not all you said. You may have meant it different but calling people grumpy old fans is your exact words and they were said arrogantly! So once again you can save that crap! I happen to like the old logo and I know so many of the older diehard fans and I can tell you that the only thing they're grumpy about it the fact that the team has sucked lately and they've spent a ton of money while seeing it. Just because someone does not want to change it, it does not make them grumpy and if it does then the same can be said for those who keep saying it has to be changed for a hundred different reasons.

What i said is not bs, its actually logical. The amount of emotion you're applying to this further proves your irrational approach to this. For example, how do you know that whatever it changes into you won't like 100 times more? You don't. To categorically dismiss something without knowing anything about it, is irrational.

Its your right however to be like that. Its also your right to upset when people correctly qualify it as either grumpy or fearful. But those rights don't negate the fact taking that attitude is irrational.

If you saw what they were changing to and hated it, then fine. But you said you hate change, that's silly.
