You forgot about Harden. He had 5 points. Actually OKC bench was pretty mediocre last night. Heat need huge games from LeBron and either Wade or Bosh because their 6 man rotations is not going to get it done.

Thats not what I inferred. What I said was that when Harden and Westbrook are on the floor one of them will be guarded by Chalmers. And thats a big problem for Miami cause he cant stick either 1-1. Last night in the 2nd half was only the beginning imo. Westbrook and Durant outscored Miami in the 2nd half by themselves.

Shhh cant argue with Heat fans. They are right we are wrong. We therefore know nothing.

Except the East in this case is the Pac 10 because the west is where the titles have been for much of the last decade. Bad analogy :)

Damn, I was just ending last years 350 day circle jerk for a 2 week vacay.

No, this is the part where Heat fans whine endlessly in this thread, a general NBA thread, despite the fact they have a whole board and there are fans of 29 other teams here. No one said anything offensive here, youre just upset cause the Heat lost. And will lose again. And again. And Again.

Like I said, this is the part where the trolls come out.

And it's tough to be upset over something that was expected, at least by me. Please point out the posts where I said the Heat would win game 1, then please point out the posts where I "whine[d] endlessly".

Suggesting everyone who speaks negatively about a team who lost are "trolls" is basically whining.

    What he said ^^^^.

You never said they would win G1 but all Ive heard all season, maybe not from only you but from Heat fans in general, is how great they are. Be prepared to get wiped out by OKC.

Then we can hear LeBron say "Well the first time I was here we got swept. The second time I was here we won 2 games. The 3rd time I was here I got my *** whooped by OKC. I was getting closer but after OKC took us out in 6 I seem to be stuck. Who wants to join the Superfriends in Miami?"

Heat need to win Tom night, Although 3 games in Miami will be hard for the Heat to win all of them. Come on Lebron, get that monkey off your back. Media will rip you a good one if you are
    0-3 in the finals!

How can you possibly second something that has nothing to do with the post being quoted? Again, point out where I made these statements or quit acting as if I said them.

Your reply should have stopped right here.

And that has absolutely nothing to do with any of my posts you've quoted.

It actually had everything to do with what you were quoted as saying.

    You said
    He said:
What part of that has nothing to do with what you were saying?

Secondly, youre the one who misunderstood my original post. So relax big guy. You interpreted my first post as meaning Chalmers couldnt guard Harden AND Westbrook simultaneously when i thought it was pretty clear that I said he couldnt guard either. And I stand by that. Chalmers is going to be a big reason the Heat dont win this series.

    KEVIN DURANT IS COMPLETELY UNSTOPPABLE

He had 17 fourth-quarter points in Game 1, and no matter what Miami did -- smother him with Shane Battier, trap him off pick-and-rolls, throw Udonis Haslem at him -- Durant kept getting off jumpers, got to the rim, and basically just terrorized Miami for the entire quarter.

THAT is how you close out an NBA Finals game at home. And now is as good a time as any to link Dirk Nowitzki's comments on Durant (via Marc Stein at ESPN):

"He's arguably the best player in the league right now. I see a guy that really has no holes. He's a 6-10 guy with a 7-4 wingspan who can shoot it from the parking lot. He's posting up now. In transition he's so long that, when he gets a pass from the 3-point line, it's a layup or dunk with one step. He's got the one- or two-dribble pull-up, which you need to be a great scorer, because you can't just shoot 3s or go to the basket if you want to be a great scorer, 'cause sometimes you can't get all the way to the bucket. He can go both ways, one or two dribbles and up."

"And he's clutch, too. He's hit big shot after big shot all season long. He made three game winners on us this year. I thought he's always been clutch, but now it's almost like you know he's going to make them. He's phenomenal."

It read like hyperbole when I first saw those comments yesterday. In the fourth quarter of Game 1, none of that seemed like hyperbole. Kevin Durant is phenomenal.

Not only that but he's got great vision. He sees open teammates around the court and is a very good passer even off the dribble. He's got great basketball IQ and a good demeanor about him. I haven't focused on him as a defender but offensively he's a great player...no doubt. I don't think he's unstoppable though.

He's a pretty damn good defender. Not on Lebron's level but he's no slouch like Carmelo.

This. And he'll get better, particularly on defense. I'm not sure the rest of his team will improve defensively without making some roster moves though.

His d has improved a good amount this year. Apparently from what I read that was what he worked hard on all summer. With him d'ing up better and westbrook, seemingly working on spreading the ball around more, this okc team could be pretty scary in the future.

Given how he was last year, yeah its an improvement.

edit: take that back. Looks like he's dropped this year. Hmmmmmmmmm he had some good assist games this year. Interesting.

Lebron was an average defender the 1st couple years...then something just clicked and he became an amazing defender.

Like I said, the Thunder are last in assists. They don't pass the ball well. When Westbrook has the ball, you just need to keep him out on the perimeter through good D. When the Heat remember that they're the best defensive team in the NBA, you'll see that happen.

Nothing proves ESPNs propensity for bias like this graphic:

    Link to the article

Basically they say he doesn't finish like he started yet the numbers say he does. They know this and purposely present the info negatively. Its a travesty. They do it with the Heat and they do it with the Dolphins. Flagrant proof.

 At them taking 1 quarter and comparing it to 3 combined quarters. He averaged 7.6 pts per the other quarter and only 7 in the 4th. OMGZ.

Understand this wasn't some stupid intern mistake. The person that compiles the stats sees the numbers in each quarter and sees they they are on track. They then purposely and with malice figure out how to present the info negatively.

7 pts from your main scorer in the 4th when the other team's main scorer got 17 is a very relevant stat. ESPN should be commended for their fine reporting

Not really. It's a VERY stupid point considering their main point was he gets worse in the 4th yet their own stat up there shows he clearly did not. He was right on track.

Don't expect Durant to score 17 again, btw.

Do the math. He clearly scored less in the 4th then has average through 3. That is a factually correct stat. The argument that it is insignificant is a subjective assessment and not based on fact. What was durant averaging during the gm and how much did he elevate his gm in the 4th when it mattered?
Once agin, brilliant reporting by ESPN. I may even email them thanlking them for their great coverage.
And I expect the thunder to blow them out tonight. They may even rest durant in the 4th

He averaged something like .6 less points in the 4th then he did throughout the first 3 quarters. Minimal difference, NOTHING to report.

No point in sending ESPN a letter when you work for them, Mr. Bayless.
