Some people are just terrified of change ........ while i love the old school uni's & logo and think they never should have changed them..... it's just not going to happen. They aren't reverting, no matter how many old-timers beg for their golden years back. They'll go modern, and i think theres a good chance that concept won't look so hideous should there be an alternative. The current one I've grown to love, it's on everything I own... literally. But I can't deny that its stupid/silly looking and hardly commands respect. The Orioles logo looks better ! South Park makes better cartoons !
If you think the stadium logo's look is hideous than its just obvious your not going to like anything they do. So just prepare for dissapointment !

Besides, which original would you prefer ? This franchise was brought up changing its logo on an almost yearly basis, or don't yall remember ?

Ross mentioned color schemes when talking about the possible changes, which really scares me.

 

My real problem with the logo is the M. I hate it. Why doesn't the dolphin have the same helmet logo as the players?

 

A logo of a dolphin wearing a helmet with a logo of a dolphin wearing a helmet with a logo that has a dolphin wearing a helmet that has a logo of a dolphin wearing a helmet and so on and so on ?!?!? Picture it !


I really like thePHINS.com's logo by the way. That on a white helmet would be awesome.

It's a personal preference. I don't like the logo.
Why? I don't know. Why do some guys prefer blonds and other brunettes?

 

Sometimes it is because their mother was blonde, other times it is because they had a good experience with a blonde when they were younger, some believe blondes are more fun. Plenty of reasons.

A personal preference? What do you not like about it? It isn't a hard question. If something is "hideous" there has to be something you can point out to the fact that it is hideous. Those are strong words.

There is a HUGE difference between preference and hideous.

 

I'm OK with a uniform change as long as they look good.

- Nike Uniforms look like trash. Uniform is too busy. I hate the modern Falcon-like uniforms. Think shading looks bad? Wait 10 years if we get the Nike like ones...
- Nike logo looks like **** too. No personality of any kind.
- Grey Dolphin? Look's ugly, IMO. Same for the grey alt-nike uniforms. Miami is colorful, it isn't Detroit.
- Marlins have the best uniforms in baseball after the Red Sox (I'm bias as **** though). Just sayin'.

My preferences

- Orange should be primary. Awesome color. Orange is hard to be ugly on anything. I'd like to see our orange be a tad bit darker though. More like the U.
- Aqua should be altered to be a lot more blue. Orange will look tight with some blue. Monday night under the lights? Sick....
- I don't hate the logo... Not sure why everyone does? Dolphin's colors being altered would be fine with me.
- Finheaven logo is pretty badass. I've always liked it for some reason. Maybe too cartoonish for the NFL, but I like it anyway. I could see that logo (smaller) underneath MIAMI written on the sides.

Like Dupree said theres a huge difference between just a preference to complete disgust.
Easily perceived as contradicting. If he just said Why he didnt like it there'd be no question, simple as that !
Yall have every right to not like it, but someone may be curious as to why. Feel free to not have an explanation tho.

 

Blue Jays went old school and now have one of the nicest uniform set in Baseball imo. I too would prefer Orange as our dominate color

 

So you like the grey now ? JK bud... the jays unis ARE awesome. But i mean just look at the detailing on ye' ole dolphin, it aint gunna fly.



Any thoughts on this blend ? I think if they do throwback it will still be modified.

I think this is on the right track..... take the helmet from the new one, and less cartoon borders/shading on the dolphin and we got a deal. I like the old sun.

 

Problems: Get that ****ty navy off of the pants leg and helmet. Kill the shadowing. Why are these so shiny? The shine only looks good on the aqua pants. Recolor the more so green stripe on the side of the pants and top of the helmet to more like the jersey. I like the new color of the jerseys so the more if it the better:



The shine is gone, but appears to have been surgically implanted into that man's arms





Get rid of all navy and shadowing. Recolor the green looking aqua to the pants color. The white topped uniforms don't need much work.


I might catch flak for this, but STOP using the all whites. They just don't look good.




TOO MUCH ORANGE. Find a way to break it up. It's just waay too much.

Almost every MLB team has Grey road uniforms. Also there is a simple solution to the detailing on the old dolphin logo.

He said he finds it personally hideous. That's an opinion to me. There are just some things we all do not find pleasing to the eye or the ear. No other explanation is really necessary.

 

This explaination is hideous. It is total devoid of logic and doesn't add to a bulliten board discussion. It gives people an excuse to make ridiculous statements and just say, "it is my opinion, I don't have to make a reasonable argument. I can just throw out strong words with nothing to back them up."

That wasn't that hard.

 

Ah yes, the final word from the ultimate authority on how to add to a bulletin board discussion. Now I can go about my day in blissful happiness.

 

the dolphins are my team, I care a great deal... Just like I care about how I look, my kids, wife, home, vehicle etc. Some don't care about appearances. I can respect that. Life is too short. Some fans don't care who's behind the helmet, or how he represents the team. Just win, baby. But I do.

You call it fashion... I call it attention to detail, presentation, & merchandising too. I realize your just trying to be insulting. It's not about style, its about the brand. Right now the uniforms and logo get just slightly more respect than a unicorn jumping over a rainbow would. All I know is when I get that corvette I've always wanted its not just going to be the fastest car on the road. It's gunna look good, as good as possible, because I'm paying too much damn $ for it.

Upgrading the unis could only benefit the franchise, which in turn benefits me. So I usually talk about it this time of year. Forgive me.

No my comment to fin-d was trying to be insulting. my initial comment was just my confusion over peoples need/desire/etc to discuss the logo and uniform. I really don't care that they do it. I just don't understand it that's all. My trying to be insulting was after when I was messing around with fin-d.

Was referring to the Jays new Gray hat, which is unique.

I do like this one alot, with a few tweeks it could be perfect.
If they totally revamp, something about that two-toned outline one is badass ! To me anyways. Those are my picks.

Fans wanted to get rid of the fight song (too corny) til it was done away with. Then they wanted it back. Fans wanted to get rid of 1 o'clock home games (too hot) until they were done away with. Then they wanted them back. Fans always want the uniforms changed til the owner agrees so now we can't go there. I hope we don't see a flying banner demanding the return of the orange carpet.
