Boik, for all of Rivers' mastery of play calling out of timeouts, Spoelstra has just as good a record on such plays. It is not fair to say that Spo does it because his players are great, and Doc does it because he has some type of mystical powers.

BTW, When Spoelstra beat Two Coaches of the Year and a runner-up 4-1, 4-1, and 4-1 in last year's playoffs, (Collins, Doc, Thibs) I did not remember ANYBODY talking about coaching mastery.

Truth is that all teams complain about the same. No team or group of fans can claim moral superiority. It's a problem with every team

Yeah because the Heat finally came up against a team that the NBA and Ref's wern't going to give them all the calls. Thats why all of the sudden they are getting beat in transition. You dont have to stay back and complain when you get all the calls to begin with.

Face it...LeBron is the best player in the league, I'll give that to him. If he doesn't win a Championship its not a lack of talent. Its lack of Balls. He could have stayed in Cleveland or went somewhere and became the man on that team. In stead he tried to do the cheap thing and join these other two superstars and get his championships. I dont care if he wins 10 championships, they will never compare to what Bird, Magic, or Jordan did.

good god. Ken Berger is a moron.

He actually broke down every single possession in the last 6 minutes, and tried to make the case that he stood away in a corner and did nothing on a couple of occasions (the rest of them, he effected the scoring, BTW)

There is an epidemic of stupidity that is staggering. It's called SPACING YOU DUMB ****. WHEN HE STARTS A POSSESSION IN THE CORNER, HE IS WAITING FOR AN ACTION TO COME OFF OF IT INTO SECONDARY OFFENSE YOU BLITHERING IDIOT.

In fact...watch a Thunder game (the new darlings) and marvel at how KD stands in the corner all the time. OMG!

The Heat get "ALL THE CALLS"..except that they don't. There are stats for that you know? They rank mid pack.

Yep, they will never compare to what Bird, Jordan and Magic did because, Larry Bird played with 3 other hall of famers. Magic played with 2 other hall of famers. Jordan played with two other Hall of famers.

Damn..all three of those guys had at least two other hall of famers with them...what were you saying again?

Oh yes, you were speaking a bunch of nonsense, and making a bunch of noise for no apparent reason other than seeing how a bunch of BS looks on a message board.

Im not saying Spo does it cause his players are great...Im not knocking Spo when Ive defended him a few times in this thread. I think Rivers really gets his players to execute though. Hes got 3 older HOFers who really cant create shots and spacing unless its off picks and good play calling..its much harder to do it that way. Doc is a great coach right now while Spo is simply good. I still feel Spo is a good coach and is going to get a raw deal...and I hope the knicks arent so insecure as to not snatch him up as woodsons assistant when it happens.

Spo as Woodson's assistant is rich.

Hawks were a 3 to 1 favorite in a 1st round playoff series vs. Miami. Spo took Wade and a rag tag team with injuries and pushed it to seven games.

If he got canned, the Knicks would be best served firing Woody and hiring Spo.

and again..I am hardly his biggest fan here, but he is easily a top ten coach.

I agree with that 2nd to last line but they just extended woodson late last month so thats not happening...although it would be just like Dolan to do it. He needs a crappy contract on the books at all times.

Yeah how did those HOF'ers come together on that team?? The draft. Thats how you build teams, Did Larry Bird sign with the Celtics because he thought that was were he could win the most championships?? No they were drafted there. They did ***** out because they couldn't win a championship on their own and go try and join all those HOF players. They would have never joined each other because they wanted to beat the other guy. That is what made those guys CHAMPIONS. Like I said, even if LeBron does cheap one out with the Heat, it means just as much and Barry Bonds homerun record.

Its ok, hopefully one day you'll pull those covers from over your eyes and see what gutless fraud those guys are. Aside from Wade, Lebron and Bosh are gutless.

Forcing a trade is different then handpicking your teammates in FA. Although thats another thing Magic was better at then Lebron besides winning Chips...picking his destination!.

What makes them gutless, though? It's a game. You're making it more than it is.

Is that good or bad? The fact that a player has to go out and find the talent himself?

Right. So if you're team is unable to draft good players around you, you just sit there like a sap and lose year after year.

What is the only argument people will use to say Duncan is better than Garnett???

Also, keep in mind that Michael Jordan quit basketball when he couldn't have Phil Jackson to run his team. He never had any desire to beat Phil.

and since I don't speak out of my ***..here are the actual rankings about "getting all the calls"

    http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/personal-fouls-per-possession

    http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/opponent-personal-foul-pct

    http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/opponent-personal-foul-pct

    http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/opponent-free-throws-attempted-per-game

The Heat rank mid pack. THEY GET ALL THE CALLS! No. The Lakers, OKC and San Antonio do..evidently.

Broken down to the last foul call....

The Heat get ONE call more than their opponent per game. ONE. UNO.

Overall, they get 3 FTA's more per game.

Adjusted per possession, they rank 14th. FOURTEENTH.

SO a team that attacks incessantly, basically gets no calls.....BUT BUT ...THEY GET ALL THE CALLS!!!!!

    This is rich.

I thought this kind of argument was passe at this point. This was just a "post Decision" thing I thought.

But since you still like this argument, I'd hate to break it to you, but what the hell do you think Kobe, Dwight Howard, Deron Williams, etc. have done? They all want to play with great players and pick their teammates. Kobe whined for two years, demanded a trade, and threatened to sign with the Clippers at one point to get what he wanted. But he's a saint.

Not everybody is blessed to be Kevin Durant where the team that drafts you has an incredible run for a few years in the draft and puts a championship contender around you. And guess what, if they don't win, and his relationship with Westbrook frays, he'll be doing the same thing.

Jeeez. You just don't like Free Agency or Sports for that matter. To say that him winning a title is the equivalent to cheating disqualifies you from being taken seriously.

Nope just that its meaningless. You bring up all those HOF'ers that Bird, Magic, and Jordan played with. How many of those teams had 3 of the top 10 best players in the league on their team.

I could care less about "the decision". That didn't affect me in the least bit, I just dont respect what they did plain and simple. My personal opinion. I'm a loyalist though, I stick my my teams no matter how good or how bad they are. I just respect players that do the same I suppose. Dirk is a prime example for me, he lost years and years, but he stuck it out and brought a Championship to a franchise that loved him and IMO it was worth more than what most have done.

Also, I never liked Kobe since they caught him anal raping a girl in Denver. IMO nobody will be lower than that.

Yet, Dirk very famously said that he would have "definitely listened" if he was recruited by D-Wade that summer. He then of course expressed his undying loyalty by eating up every single red cent of cap space that the Mavericks had that summer, which prompted them to dismantle some of that team and have them tank this year.

    LOYALTY!

People did the same with Jordan. He was a choker every time the Pistons whipped him.

People will build players up, and when the player doesn't meet the inflated expectations, they will tear them down to take out their frustration.

So when OKC wins the title do they get an asterisk or would that be reserved for the Heat assuming they can pull out two wins and beat OKC.
