When it is a bang bang play it should have been called on Garnett. Wade should have been called for the one on Rondo as well. But I'll take it....

I can see Miami getting beat by 10 in game 3 when their on their home court and fully expect them to get those fouls...

If Wade wanted space he wouldn't be using his feet for one thing. He would be using his arm because his arm would give him a greater separation from the defender to make the layup.

You obviously don't watch much basketball so allow me to teach you. Jumping straight up with your hands in the air isn't in any way, shape, or form, a foul. Contact is irrelevent. That's not a foul. That's as simple officiating as it gets.

I don't see how you can call it blatant! Garnett hits his arm and it is instinct to regain balance with your feet because both hands are holding the ball. It sure the heck did not look like he was trying to kick the dude....

The ****? Players use their feet to create space all the time. Wade especially. I recall a similar play in the playoffs not too long ago from Wade doing the same exact thing on an and one jumpshot.

Yea, I don't see that as an offensive foul. I think saying he karate kicked him is an exaggeration and it was pretty clear KG slightly pushed him.

I think Wade made an offensive foul. The real issue is Garnett tomahawked his shooting arm a millisecond first, and the refs are going to give the tiebreaker to the offensive superstar too.

Yep, except he was not jumping straight up...

He made a legal pay, could care less how smart it was. Could care less at all really since the Celtics are my most hated team in basketball. But seeing Heat fans in this thread blaming refs was pure comedy to me so I had to comment.

We fully expect you back the very instant that you see the Celtics are up by 10 or more in the next game....

That's right! By pushing him, Wade was just trying to keep his balance enough to get the shot off.

Did that make him kick Garnett? Yes but right AFTER he was fouled.

Watch it almost every single time it is on. That is a call that is RARELY called because it is so hard to figure if the defender is moving straight up. Pierce's surely wasn't going straight up if I remember the replay.

Never said players don't use their feet to create space. Just saying in that situation, he would have used his arms to get more of a shot if he was trying to.

Pierce was running to the spot to begin with and had momentum carry him slightly to the left instead of staight up. Van Gumby even said it was hard to tell....

Only that he was, as I just watched the replay. It was a foul on Garnett, clearly not a foul on Pierce.

Eh I wouldn't quote what Van Gundy says ever. Usually gives no Credibility. One thing I don't get is why KG gets a pass for throwing a elbow at James Jones. The play was definitely over then.

Just saw the announcement if the #1 pick.

When did the NBA get Moby to announce the lottery results?

KG doesn't get a pass. It was just another douchebag move by the biggest douchebag in the league. He got what he deserved.

Of course Rondo is saying the game had a lot of controversy out there!!!! Except he forgot to add how Garnett elbowed Jones, and or anything else that COULD have been called against the Celts

The one thing he does not do often is give the Heat credit unless it is clear!

True. But does anyone honestly think the league will do anything about it? Nope probably not.

If they called everything that *could* be called, the league would go bankrupt. The officiating is bad enough as it is that I can't bare to watch many regular season games. I hate how soft the league has become.

The Spurs are going to be tough for any of the teams left to beat. Miami, OKC or the Celtics

Van Gundy is still the best in the business imo. Not sure though if that's really a compliment considering the quality of NBA commentators is incredibly lacking. Doug Collins needs to retire and go back to TNT.

Tonights game had a ton of fouls. I *****ed about them as each play happened. Not complaining now, nor would I have, had the Heat lost. I said it earlier, that if Miami lost, they could only blame themselves after missing 12 FT's before regulation ended.

I think fouls going to the rim should be called. The Celtics plan was to foul hard and they did that tonight but their hard fouls are almost always within the game. Nothing like the Indiana series where they were trying to take every head off that came into the paint. That's not B-Ball...

He's good, but not better than Van Gundy imo. Van Gundy is the only guy willing to call things like it is. I suppose he's also earned a few brownie points with me for his constant bashing of flopping and the league doing nothing about it.

Yeah flopping is with every team. League is a bunch of dictators trying to control everything. Not usually the conspiracy theorist, but the Hornets getting the first pick with the league still owning them is very very suspicious.
