Taking a shot at Moore again, I mean I get it, Moore isn't great, but his *** did go to the probowl while Matt was his Qb, and Moores stats would of been much higher if Marshall caught easy td passes..

My point of discussion is when he talks about the two different schemes and his talents, Would his talents go underutilized in this west coast scheme?, is there such a thing as a lesser talented group being more effective that having the one highly talented player dominating reps?

How truly important is a player with Brandon Marshall's skillset to offensive football?

His talents wouldnt have been underutilized, but he wouldn't be productive enough to warrant his salary. If a WR is making $10M/yr., then he most likely needs to have the offense centered around him. If it isn't, then the team is better served to spread that money out elsewhere.

Also, I think the biggest issue here was the way he interacted with coaches and teammates. He pretty much made Karl Dorrell move from WR coach to QB coach because he didn't want to deal with Marshall. We also have accounts of him being an ******* to Chad Henne. Certainly thats not the type of presence I would want around a young QB like Tannehill. Its clear to me that this organization tries its best to steer clear of guys that behave like Marshall does.

Unless I just am misunderstanding what C Philbin is saying Marshal would not be a focal point in the offense because they don't use a true #1 receiver and switch the focus to the hot receiver or based on match-ups. I think we would really get tired of listening to Marshal if he was not the focus of the offense every week. I mean a guy needs his chance to **** up and blame his QB and all...

My thoughts......Get over yourself Marshall! Moore got your *** to the Pro Bowl last time i looked. Seriously. Ok to send out signals when you are a Dolphin but now u aint. Hence your opinions mean squat. BTW Brandon...weve got Ryan T now so maybe your train of thought was right but as a Phin fan i cant get that lacklustre p**s poor effort u made down that sideline when u stepped out. That sticks. just saying.

Marshall says he 'gets it'... but, he really doesn't. The guy has now been traded by two teams, at the height of his career, while making pro bowls. He has most, if not all, of the physical talent of a Megatron, Fitzgerald, and Andre Johnson. Still, he cannot get it through his thick skull that the only thing holding him back from getting to their level is his own immaturity. Any idiot can see right through his 'humble' facade, and recognize how arrogant and self-centered he is.

The one person most responsible for Brandon Marshall's troubles is Brandon Marshall.

I don't hate the guy. I'm disappointed in him.

TBH, I just want him replaced, the swirl of problems around him aside, we have to replace his production.

Marshall the person is a ill formed sub adult whose money allows him to indulge in personally destructive behaviors that he is rarely forced to address due to his status.

In short, he's a talented putz, good riddance.

A question to you FF, you don't think an offense can be more effective subtracting a talent like that?, what I mean is, specifically, his skillset, can we become a more efficient unit without it?, and, is there a case to be made that regardless of how talented the player is physically, can throwing an inordinate amount reps his way actually become counterintuitive to the offense?..Or,is talent talent, and it's just a crazy hypothetical theory?

I still don't get the rationale behind getting angry with Brandon for saying we needed a QB in Miami. The people on this board whined about it constantly, the fan base in South Florida protested out in front of the stadium when Peyton wasn't signed. People were calling for Ireland's job just a month ago because he hadn't addressed the QB situation.

So why is it okay for us the fans to say we need a QB, for the owner, GM and coaches to say we need a QB, for the South Florida media, ESPN, NFL Network and every single publication having anything to do with the draft to say we need a QB? We proved everyone right by reaching for Tannehill at 8 because we so desperately needed a QB. So why is it still so damning for Brandon Marshall to speak the truth?

Talented bot not reliable.Looked like Jerry Rice one week and Jerry Lewis the next.I agree that it was a good deal for both him and the Dolphins but the jury is still out on how the Bears did.

Head case or not, two 3rds for a guy who has performed at times at historical levels and already has an established relationship with the QB he's going to be playing with is good value.

How many times did we need a WR who could catch TDs?

If Moore would of went out and said that, you don't think Marshall would of had a problem with it?

Because we aren't Matt Moore's teammate. If everyone on the team let the world know who on the team sucks, that isn't good for the team.

I think there will be a Noticeable dropoff in WR production. We have RB with good hands and our TEs will see more balls thrown their way. We have two rookie WR who have no choice but to contribute and an unknown in Gates. There is too much inexperience at the position to say that we are better off. We are better off in the sense that Marshall has severe issues, and the most recent incident tells me that he simply doesnt care about getting better. Sadly I think if he does not shape up, then his BPD may cost him his life.

    Exactly.

You catch a player taking plays off, blast him left and right to the public. Your kicker starts being a diva, pull a Peyton. But when your QB is putting all the effort he can into his limited ability and comes across serviceable, you don't blast him in the media. Its wrong.

Brandon Marshall needs to go watch TO's appearance on Dr. Phil as a warning.

Is it a shock he's a hot potato? I loved his play. But teams don't win all that much with him. With his potential to be a catastrophe on any given day, he's expendable.

I'm not going to put too much creedance in a wide receiver's opinion, as they are ali pretty much self absorbed prima donnas any more. The last GREAT wide receiver that had any class at all that I can recall off the top of my head was Jerry Rice.

Respectable receivers like that have been replaced with the likes of immature prima donnas such as Dieon Sanders, Keyshawn Johnson, Chad Johnson, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss et al...crybabies that have to be the center of attention that instead of concentrating on winning games, have to pull stupid antics to be the center of attention ie; touchdown celebrations, "taking it to the house", etc

Brandon Marshall is no different. I'm actually glad he's gone as I was never really THAT sold on him to begin with, especially with EASY TD receptions that Chad Henne put in his hands and he dropped.
