Good video, but Lamar Miller will have the opportunity to get a ton of work, imo.

Reggie Bush is still fragile and in the last year of his deal and Thomas is a lot less talented.

Indeed. If he can stay healthy he will be.

Nice clip I have big hopes for Tannehill. This draft seems to have really addressed the offense very well.

Im hoping Lamar Miller can be that consistent every down back with big play ability. His college video's and highlights show a talented runner

I guess it is good to see someone actually give the Dolphins an , "A" grade for the draft. Unfortunately I have to wonder exactly how much this guy actually watched the Dolphins play last season. Especially when he stated that Daniel Thomas had an outstanding rookie season. He must have been watching another Daniel Thomas on another team. I saw Thomas have two decent games as a rookie and the rest of the season he was either injured or did very little in all the rest of the games he played.

I think the Dolphins drafted Miller because they see him as their back of the future. I don't see Bush playing for the Dolphins beyond 2012 unless he has an outstanding season this year. In 2013 Bush will be entering his 8th year as a running back in the NFL. He has had a history of injuries and even though he played well in the second half of the 2011 season, he will need a repeat of this type of performance if he wants to remain with the Dolphins beyond this coming season. Bush is going to be making five million dollars this season and with Lamar Miller on the team, I would not be the least bit surprised if the Dolphins decide to go with a cheaper and faster Miller in 2013, instead of spending the cap money on retaining Bush.

I have never been high on Thomas. I think he just might have a difficult time finding any playing time this season with all the competition he will have at the running back position. In fact it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the Dolphins don't put him on the trading block before the end of training camp.

You had us picking Jonathan Martin at 8 earlier this off-season right? Or was it DeCastro? Pretty sure it was J-Mart though.

Thanks! With the weapons they've added and that are already on the roster, he doesn't have an excuse not to do well. It'll all fall on his (and Sherman's) shoulders

Yessir! Pumping them out as we speak!

I guess the only question he had coming out is the shoulder..but as far as skill is concerned, he's the quintessential breakaway back!

Before the draft I wasn't high on Thomas..but watching him last season I thought the did fine.. I had no problem with his contribution. Its all about rhythm with RBs; which is why Bush had such a fine year because he was allowed to get into that rhythm with consistent carries. Yes he's coming into his 8th year, but doesn't have a lot of carries, but you're right as far as him with the nagging injuries. Expect Bush to be extremely healthy in this contract year :) I still think it'll be tough for Miller to get the necessary touches to be effective.

Yessir! It was in my Midseason Mock Draft (wayyy back in Oct)

Thanks Big Zeke!! I strive to get better with every video!

I'm not surprised you'd look for a negative to focus on. Daniel Thomas battled hamstring pulls all year, but still managed to lead the AFC in rushing yards by a rookie. All things considered, I'd say that isn't a bad contribution.

If he does get put on the trading block, it would be a testament to our depth and talent, rather than a negative about him. However he is the one cut and go type of downhill runner who should do well in a zone blocking scheme, so I'd just as much expect him to wow everyone as I would for him to sink to 5th on the RB depth chart or lower.

I thought it was a very well done video, however you didn't mention any of the defensive draft picks.

One of your comments about Derek Moye was also incorrect. He has relatively small hands. Cunningham does too for that matter. BJ's hand size is 8 1/8". Looking through most of the other WRs drafted, I found no one else smaller than 8 1/4". Even little dudes like Marquis Maze, 9", Travis Benjamin, 8 3/4" and TY Hilton, 8 1/2", have bigger hands. Moye's hand size was 8 1/4" which ties him with several others, but everyone else with that size of hands were much smaller overall in height and weight than Moye is at 6'4 and 210. I recall Chris Givens as one of the few others with 8 1/4" hands.

Matthews has good size hands at 9 1/4". Fuller has some of the largest WR hands in the draft at 9 7/8". Only ones bigger than the latter that I found were Alshon Jeffery, Marvin Jones, Marvin McNutt and Jarrett Boykin. All four have 10" plus hands.

All that said, I'm not sure large hands are the end all be all when it comes to WRs. BJ was very reliable as a pass catcher and Fuller had a lot of drops even with those big ol' meat hooks he has.

Thanks Homie! I wonder mentally what was going on with him as the production from the end of his Junior year to Senior year was a drop off...pun intended

haven't logged in since draft night, just wanted to for this one. Thanks for the work you put into everything Em, very nice video and breakdowns as usual. A Little modest I might dare to say on a few points but I agree and think it was definitely a high grade overall for sure.
