As for the NYK-MIA game... Miami clearly thrashed NY. Yes, the officiating seemed to favor Miami but NY did themselves no favors by having 6 million turnovers that game. The Melo tech was bogus, as was the LeBron fall out of bounds. The Chandler pick, IMO, was not a flagrant, but a hard personal foul. There was no need IMO for it to be a flagrant, but the refs call it as they see it and that is that.

Lol, thanks. I still think NY was just flat out outplayed but there were a few questionable calls. However, there will always be miscalls and conspiracy talk and what not with every high profile playoff game. I just always say the refs aren't perfect, but that's just me.

I also thought that the Melo T and out of bounds play were bad. Also the double T on Haslem/Chandler was bad as well.

I do think it was flagrant just for the fact Tyson was HITTING ANOTHER PLAYER for no reason at all away from the play.

Home teams do get more calls, but the refs didn't make the Knicks foul on jumpers (legit fouls), miss all their shots or start shooting desperation threes late second quarter.

On the officiating, I am objective. Here is the truth:

The Heat attacked all game, the Knicks played like wusses and shot jumpers.

The Heat were rewarded by the refs for their attacking play by letting the Heat get away with a little extra while defending Melo.

The Refs then took a stand against the Knicks when they started with some dirty tactics, and decided to call everything tight in regards to LBJ.

Yes, the Heat benefited from favorable officiating. They earned alot of it though.

The real margin of victory should have been like 26 or so.

That's exactly right. They came out with hard chops and hacks but it was most against Lebron because he was flat out balling. The refs did not let them play bully and when it continued, they called everything.

Blake Griffin is so overrated. Between the dumb commercials and the fawning announcers, I can't stand him, even if he is relatively decent at basketball.

He's a pretty good dunker and both his post game and mid range game have improved. Still, nowhere near MVP material.

Agreed and they gave NYK a look they hadnt given them all year. Melo loves to play on the wing and so they fronted him and sent help from the baseline side. Great gameplan and forced the Knicks to find other scoring options which they couldnt find. This is a prime example of what has plagued NYK all year offensively. If you have shooters your opponents cant do this. If Melo cant get going this is goingt o be 4 and out for the Knicks

Wrong foul. Not the one I was talking about. I was talking about the other screen where the Knicks had the ball in the half-court and Chandler somehow got called with an offensive foul. 22-8 foul discrepancy in the first half. I know Miami is good but thats absurd. The Knicks played like poop but the refs did no favors

Boik you guys were fouling on JUMPERS and shooting jumpers. Yeah we got a couple fouls probably, but it had more to do with style of play than anything.

never understood why people get caught up in a sport where this is a foul

when at the same time they could be watching a sport where this isnt a penalty

    get with the program people

Hockey is boring....that's why. I don't watch sports for brutality, I do it for skill. Obviously there is skill in hockey but the game itself is boring and fighting doesn't change that. Just my opinion.

actually i enjoy basketball a bit later in the playoff rounds. first round is usually unbelievably boring. this year the west should be interesting once they get into rd 2. the east wouldve been interesting if rose hadnt injured himself. now its just a heat coronation till they get into the finals. i'm just angry because the hockey thread is all of 4 pages long lol. blasphemy!

The Hockey hits come when the player has the puck or its called a penalty or the puck just left his stick.
