Yea that's no flagrant. Great acting by LeBron, I'll give him that. Didier Drogba would be proud.

 

That was nowhere near his neck to be honest.

 

Lebron SAID it wasn't the hit. It was that his neck snapped backwards. The hit was cheap. He pushed forward with his elbows when there was absolutely no need to. He hit a player just to hit him, that should ALWAYS be flagrant regardless of how "hard" the hit was or where. It was cheap.

 

whiplash is a ***** you feel dazed for a few secs that's all that happened to lebron

Flagrant is certainly debatable. I can agree if you want to say it's not, but I was objecting to Boik saying Chandler was "just setting a screen." That's ridiculous.

That's definitely an offensive foul.

 

I wouldn't call it a hard foul, but I personally believe any time you intentionally hit another player (especially from behind) it should be a flagrant regardless of how hard.

 

That was a cheap shot by Tyson Chandler....AND Lebron Flopped. Best of both worlds.

 

I actually wanted to play Chicago with Rose. However now it seems like it's going to be a cakewalk to the finals. Boston now has the best chance of beating us, and if we play the type of defense we did today they aren't going to look old as dinosaurs, they are going to look old as something crawling out of primordial ooze. That swarming defense in the first half was beyond ANYTHING I've ever seen.

 

I dont think lebron flopped, he had no idea it was coming, he definitely got a nice whiplash there, you can see his neck whip forward. Now the foul before that, that was a flop!

 

Yeah, if Skip wants to argue that we only got 3 good quarters out of LeBron, he gets no contest from me.

 

Then LeBron is one weak individual because that was a weak hit and a very obvious Chris Bosh-esque flop. Jeff Van Gundy is absolutely right on this one.

 

Chandler was definitely putting a little more into that than a regular screen. But still barely a push with an obvious added effect from LeBron.

 

Wow Rose down, if the Heat can't get out of the East now something is terribly wrong with them. I kind of thought it was going to be the Heat taking the east but now the eastern playoffs are just a formality.

 

What part about "It wasnt the hit itself" cant you get through your brain. Maybe youre just angry your team doesnt deserve to lick the bottom of our shoes....IDK.

LeBron weighs more than Chandler... Obvious flop. Which Chandler deserved for attempting a cheap shot, albeit an incredibly weak one. LeBron did the same exact thing to John Lucas, who he has damn near 100 pounds on. That wasn't a flagrant, and neither is this.

Weighing more has nothing to do with it. He leaned in with his elbow and shoulder on a player with his back completely turned to him. His head whipped backwards. Did it hurt him? I think it stunned him and If he was not hurt while on the ground, I love that flop. But that was an obvious cheap shot by Chandler and the flagrant 1 was the correct call. It wasn't a flagrant two which is what is started out as...

The foul? Hell no not a flagrant, chandler put a little something on that pic, but obviously Lebron was being a Drama queen.

 

Its to be expected, officiating gets WORSE in the playoffs for some reason. Just need to hope NY gets the same BS when they are in the Mecca.

 

There was no reason to be setting a pick on a guy who was backpedaling while the ball is on the other end of he court, plus like you said he put extra on it. That is why it's flagrant, because it's cheap, not because he pounded him.


Also the main reason I'm pretty sure Lebron was actually in a bit of pain, was that he got pissed off and EXPLODED afterwards, taking over the game. His neck definitely snapped back you can see it on the replay. That is how his neck hurt, not the hit itself.

Sucks about Rose, I was looking forward to LeBron erasing him at the end of games again.

 

I'm surprised Lebron hasn't been blamed for Rose's injury yet.

 

Spo isn't getting enough credit IMO. Everybody was worried about rotations, defense, etc.
Gameplan wise, totally shut down Mello. Turned him in to a none factor.

 

I think the defense was good, but let's be honest with Melo's talent putting the ball in the basket its more a case of him just being flat out "off" more than anything.

 

Now? They are the DEFENDING Eastern Conference champions. Why is everybody talking about this Rose injury like it "opens" a door in the East? Hello? The Heat HOLD the key.

 

Imagine that! You *****ing about the officials! The refs did the right thing to keep the series under control because it was obvious that the Dickerbockers game plan was to see if the refs would let them get away with a really hard foul on almost every possession.
