Honestly the harder I look at RGIII the less impressed I am.

I love the pick! Yeah he's raw but he doesn't have to start right away. I'm just thrilled they finally picked up the bat and made a swing with it. It beats the never ending 2nd round Qb bandages we've been force fed for the last 10 years!

Love the pick. If he's not ready, we cheer for Matt Moore. Most of us like him anyway. If he is ready, bonus.

Thanks Mr. Ireland and Mr. Ross and Mr. Philbin for finally making the QB position a priority. If Tannehill doesn't work try try again.

I'm so happy right now! I believe in Tannehill. Doubters say what you want, but I truly believe that was the right pick! Guess only time will tell. Now I need to get a brand new jersey.

Marino didn't even start right away, why should they rush this guy? Moore played well down the road and Garrard can't hurt. I really like the pick as long as they don't push him to start too soon.

Tannehill has a huge head start because he knows and played in our new offense. He will not need 2-3 years. He'll be ready sooner rather than later.

There should be lots of good receivers in rounds 2 and 3. I expect the 2nd round will get us a pass rusher and receiver in the 3rd.

    For awhile... :shifty:

As much as I've trashed Ireland and I'm still not his biggest fan, I always maintained he had this draft to do something right. I'm glad he finally made QB a priority. Consider me placated.

I don't think that is true anymore. I mean obviously there is adjusting but it isn't like it was even five years ago.

I'm not saying he's going to start from day 1, but he's smart and has advantages. He'll learn quickly.

Learning the plays isnt nearly as big as learning to read NFL defenses...2 yrs before he starts.

Something I just realized. We just drafted a quarterback who doesn't fit the Parcells mold.

Keep in mind the current rules make passing in the NFL easier in today's game. Thus the transition from college to the NFL is also easier. It's still an adjustment for sure, but not as big as it once was. It's no coincidence we're seeing more and more rookie QBs every year have immediate impacts.

Two years before Luck starts too then right? RGIII?

No college QB read NFL defenses.

Me too. You and I have gone back and forth on Ireland all offseason. I'm glad he made both of us happy with the pick. Now I feel like I can relax and really enjoy the rest of the draft.
