His feet were planted, he got there before Kobe. Its just Williams was at a angle plus Kobe pushed with his arm.

that happens when youre one of the two best players in the league. He didnt get that one though. By a rule a charge cant occur if the defender is moving, even in a backpedal, which williams was.

Now if you said kobe stuck his elbow out and may have tried to give williams an elbow or forearm you'd have a point :wink2:

It can be a foul if Kobe uses the arm which he did.

No it cant. At best in that instance you'd be hoping for a foul on each player. But if williams feet were moving, which they were, he has the right as the offensive player to move towards the basket however aggressively he needs to. It was only after initial contact he stuck his forearm out and you could argue thats to defend himself or break a fall....which im not sure it was but thats probably how the refs saw it.

No Kobe used his ARM and pushed off.

Not really you can be moving but you have to be in your defensive stance.

No you actually cant be moving at all. Defensive stance would be too subjective and thats why its not in the rulebook.

And Kobe only pushed off after initial contact. Watch their feet. they get tangled then Kobe pushes off.

Lebron does get alot of calls go his way but most of the time He is agressive and throws in the acting.

I hate it when Refs interfear late in games.

Korver has to take that shot. I just can't believe this game came down to the final seconds. You just can't win when one guy is going to get every call.

We've seen in with LeBron, Wade, Kobe......even more so with Michael Jordan.

It's just a part of the game. Superstars will always get superstar calls.

What are you talking about? You can't forearm someone or elbow them even if they are moving. Seriously, what are you talking about? You can move into someone but you can't chickenwing or forearm someone? Wasn't the worst call I've ever seen but Kobe initiated the contact and shoved with his arm, it was a foul on Kobe. He's the league MVP and the best player he can get a call or two but it was still a foul on Kobe. I think you're confused on the rules.

Kobe patented that stiff arm. He will never get called on it.

I am just shocked he got caught with one of his elbows he gave to Matt Harpring earlier when he got away with it several times this series.

True but they all have one thing in common. Get to the rim, take contact, flop, go shoot your free throws.

Thats the only reason why the Cavs are even in games is they attack the basket. You have a greater chance getting the call driving in and flopping than you do taking a jump shot.

I hope Eli Manning calls LeBron James and gives him a pep talk. Something along the lines of, "Give it all you got! Crushing the dreams of Boston fans on their own court is too good to pass up. Kill them!!!"

I'm by no means a Boston fan but during that game the Refs got involved in the 2nd QT. They were calling every little thing on Boston. Thats how Cleveland got most of their points was from the line in the 2nd QT. Then you had the bogus "Charging" foul in the 4th with under a min remaining.

I understand its home court advantage and Cleveland gets to the line because their agressive but most of the 2nd QT fouls were Offensive fouls on Boston.

The sad thing is in game 5 Cleveland went to the Line 41 times in Boston. Like how the hell does tha thappen

If Cleveland can't get to the line they can't win.

And Ray Allen is horrid put in Eddie house or James Posesy. Allen is to slow and can't guard. Atleast with

Rondo, Posey, Pierce, KG, Perkins you have a better chance defensively.

The Cavs are EARNING their trips to the line. LeBron is a BEAST. When he comes barreling down the lane..YOU BETTER FOUL HIM..or it is a dunk.

Its a good day to be a Laker fan. Big win ON THE ROAD, to close out the series in 6. I couldn't believe the comeback by Utah though. I was sitting in a bar and almost had to order a shot. If they had tied it, I would have had to get tanked right then and there.

Has Cool Calm Mike thrown out his excuses about the refs and Kobe yet? Because I thought he said there was no way the Jazz would ever lose this game...

Very good day to be a Laker fan. It was a huge win and only the 2nd road win so far in this round. It's absolutely a key win because it'll now give Kobe and Co. some time to rest for the West. Conf. Finals while Spurs and Hornets go at it. And I was shocked at Horry's play. I like Horry, who's a savvy player and good person, but those two rough plays the past two years I don't approve. This is not the Robert Horry I knew. Maybe he's just getting grumpy with age.

Lotta sore loser Jazz fans. I haven't seen this much whining since Tim Duncan got called for a foul.

I will give my props to the Jazz though like a gracious winner should. They put a lot of effort and wouldn't just die when most teams would have. I'm looking forward to see what Deron Williams can do right next to Kobe on Team USA.

I'll admit, I was shocked to see the final score. I left for a party at around the middle of the 3rd quarter feeling things were pretty much set and Lakers would win. Didn't think it'd be that close. We were just dominating from the get-go. But I'll take it.

What a statement, trailing by double digits for most of the game until Lakers let their guard down.

Please the Refs handed the Lakers the game with the so called "blocking" fouls they were as bad as Lebrons charge at the end of the 4th. I hate it when the Refs get involved late in the game like that. Granted Utah played like crap until they realised "hey this is game 6 what are we doing?" and started to mount a comeback.

I don't understand this argument at all. The better team won last night, plain and simple. Better yet, the best team in the league (right now) won last night, plain and simple. It's pointless to argue about officiating, especially in defense of a team as disgusting as the Utah Jazz. Deron Williams basically DOVE into a player at the end of the first half last night, and remained on the floor crying for the foul. Disgusting. I was amazed watching the body language of Jazz players last night, crying and moaning the entire game just because they refused to show up to play on their own floor until the 4th quarter. Shameful. If I was a fan of the Utah Jazz who attended last night's game and watched my team act unprofessionally throughout, I'd ask for an apology from the organization.

Oh, and let's not talk about LeBron James in the same discussion as NBA refs.

I thought the Jazz lost that game but they really got shafted with those so called Blocking fouls. I thik the Jazz choked plain and simple and mounted a comeback to late.

    I rest my case.

Act like we haven't seen "huge calls where all of them have been wrong" go Cleveland's way at least 50 times since 2003. I mean, we can go all the way back to LeBron's first playoff game winner in 2005 (Washington) where he took 5-6 steps if you want.

    :wink2:

I am sure the refs made the Jazz shoot 33% from the field too. But Why look at that stat as it is meaningful and relevant when we can look at a borderline foul call at best and hang our hats on that right?
