But it is about to get interesting. the Celt, Cavs series has been at least intrigueing. The Lakers/Jazz series has done nothing for me.

I agree, the lack of heart in this year's playoffs disgusts me. I don't think any team deserves a title this year. The "Superstars" of the NBA are disappointing right now.

Except KG, I love watching him play. I just wish the guys around him would start playing the way they should be.

I like KG as well but even he hasn't been great on the road. Where are the guys with the killer instinct that will not allow their team to lose to lesser teams, even on the road? The closest one is Kobe and the even the Lakers aren't anything special on the road.

So you like 7 footers shooting 20 footers in a tight game with every Cav in foul trouble?

Dirk is proud of KG right about now.

Meh. I think the playoffs have been great Especially this round where 3 out of the 4 matchups are at least going to a game 6. Every year a different storyline emerges and this year, it is that home teams clearly have an advantage. And IF someone were to break through and win on the road, it will put them way ahead of the ball game( in fact, it would mean they move on).

Did you watch last nights game bro? It was a great game. Physical, circus shots, and somehow, back and forth play even though the Lakers led throughout. Just a great game.

I think we gave up on Games 3 and 4 because they were definitely winnable. Still better than a Jazz in 6 prediction.

I know Utah's going to try really hard not to lose Game 6 but there's no guarantee they'll win.

I have to agree with Section126; these playoffs have been a major let down. With how the Western Conference came into shape during the regular season, my expectations were set too high. I was looking for an overload of 7-game series, 6 at the very minimum. I guess I'm still disappointed with what happened in the SAS/PHX and NO/DAL series. Actually thought those would be title caliber series. Aside from that excellent Game 1 @ San Antonio, both series were duds and "set the bar" for these playoffs.

I'm optimistic about Boston/Detroit and LAL/New Orleans (or San Antonio).

Hopefully, those matchup's give us 14 combined games of excitement, and 'save a hoe'

If we land the #1 or #2 pick, then yes, it was "great success"

Ehh, they aren't taking anything away from Detroit I don't think. They just fele that the beat themselves more with dumb, young player mistakes. I think it is essential that athletes believe they are the best in order to succeed.

    Worst.
    Argument.
    Ever.

As Herman Edwards says, you play to WIN the game.

I hope Miami never picks first overall in the NFL draft again. It would mean we sucked the year before.

Utah is 41-5 at home this year. Five times. They aren't going to lose. In my opinion, I think they will win Game 6 by double digits and make a statement.

Then, they will go into L.A. again with nobody giving them a shot. Much like last season when they went into Houston for a Game 7 and beat them.

Guess which team accounted for one of the 5. That's right. The Lakers. :wink2:

They will lose either Game 6 or 7. That's my opinion.

Lakers did win 1 of those 5 at Utah. So its possible to win there.
And not like the 2 playoff games were blow outs. Game 4 if the Lakers made their freethrows LA wins that game.

If Utah doesn't turn the ball over 20+ times, they win Game 5. It doesn't matter what could have happened.

true but TOs and missing Freethrows are different.
TOs are cause by good defense or simple mistakes. Freethrows are solely on the shooter.

Utah had 18 TOs and avr 12 a game.
Lakers avr 75% FT and Game 4 shot 56% from the line

But in the end like you said it doesnt matter what could of...

Unreal....the playoffs this yr are just unreal. I just cant fathom teams that are this deep in the playoffs playing this poorly away from home. I mean they won games away during the season, its absurd.

Well, let's think of it a different way: we had a really, really good Elite 8 in this year's playoffs (yes, I know that's an NCAA term, indulge me). Boston, Detroit, Orlando, Cleveland, LA, New Orleans, San Antonio, Utah. With the exceptions of Orlando and Cleveland, every single one of those teams can stake a legitimate claim to being the best team in the NBA. There's no stiffs in that group; there's no '07 Golden State, or '99 NY there. Why WOULDN'T we expect those teams to be really, really strong at home? (Orlando, arguably the weakest of the group, is the only one to lose at home.)

We might well be headed for THREE seven game series in the Conference Semifinals. Maybe some think it's boring because the home teams keep winning, but I choose to think it's exciting. When was the last time we had 3 2nd round series go to 7 games? Has it EVER happened?

  39. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Agreed. I think it has less to do with how poorly the road teams have played and more likely, how ell the home teams are playing. It makes for an interesting storyline throughout and will be big news once the next road teams wins in any series (including the next round).
