Very good read Anthony, thank you. There is a lot to like about this young man, and his influence will be a big plus for Jake Long. I hope they move Justin over to LG so he and Jake can play next to each other. Jake needs the experience next to him.
This regimes expertise is certainly along the OL. Acquiring Smiley in the first place is justification enough for me that it was a good move for the organization. He is a classic "Parcells overachiever" that should do well in this system. I think that is an area that (the OL) that traditionally under Parcells regimes gets the least amount of fanfare but is probably the most important part of the puzzle to being competitive...
Nice read, I really like Justin Smiley a lot. As happy as I am with the Jets signing, in Smiley's words, "The Ancient" Faneca, a big part of me wishes we would have gone for Justin. Listening to his interviews, and reading articles about him, it's hard not to get excited about his character.
Agreed... I see a lot of positive in the trenches so far... hopefully people like Justin will help make Jake the elite LT we hope he can be.
