I asked what you wanted for Reed and you said u would get back to me. Also was told Barwin was not available. Damn E, why you gonna play me like that? And for a worse offer...
lol...guys I switched to a 4-3 Boik you have nothing on your D that I could afford or that realistically could help me. Alen I have had so many people offer me something I cant keep up with all of them, if you wanted him you should have been an annoying a$$ like TP and worked me until we worked something out. I needed a Center.....and a DE better then Barwin....works.for.me.
And for the record for all those saying "I could have given you more" responses you didn't or you would have them.
I would have if I would have known. I wouldn't post it if I wouldn't have given you the original value.
E and I worked on something that makes us both better..... our pride. *I kid I kid* I hated giving up Wood because he's a 1st round center and was a big reason why Buffalo's offense & Fitz were playing at a high level during the first 6 or 7 games. Now I have to replace a key component of my offense. Wood alone is worth well more than Reed in this case b/c BigE has to worry about ensuring Arian Foster has running lanes, which drastically trumps a situational pass rusher (Reed) in E's 43 defense. VandenBosch, though not ideal in age, is still playing at a high level and is a better 43 DE than Barwin. So both of these players upgraded E's team, and considering his needs and the fact that Barwin & Reed were expendable in his 43 defensive switch to build around Mario Williams, it was a beneficial trade for both parties.
I'm not picking on him. If he got what he wanted in his trade then that's all that matters. I don't have a problem with it. I was simply saying the compensation I would have offered had I known the player was available.
At least E has the balls to build a 43 around his franchise guy, Mario, which I applaud him for b/c he could've taken the boring, easy way out and kept his outstanding 34 defense in tact. What fun would that be? Instead he took on the challenge of taking a cap restricted team and trying to gut its defense and turn it into an equally successful 43. No offense meant to you, BK, by my comment. I was just generalizing, bro.
If e feels I was picking on him, I'm sorry e. I've posted on board with e for like a decade now. I don't think he interpreted it like that but if he did, my bad dude. All I was saying is when someone says they will look over my roster and counter I expect that. If he needed to be pestered...well I don't like being that guy.
Seriously. You have 3 solid LBs with 2 nasty DEs in front of them. VandenBosh didn't slow down last year and his 8 sacks and 4 FFs are terrible I tell ya.
I did...sorry Boik, I just didnt see anything I liked, my bad. I should have told you as such. (I didnt feel you were "picking on me" lol)
Gotta appreciate E's style. He has a solid vision in his head on where he wants his team to be....and he goes and does it. Whether its popular to some or not, HE thinks its best for HIS team....so it works. Also, he's a terrible Green Goblin (inside joke)
The players weren't really available when I sent E a feeler trade, and I'm not sure Minnesota would've entered his mind with Allen, Babin, and Robison already on the team. Bigs was specific about a stud Center and a DE. I gave him both w/o him having to do multiple trades etc to round them up, and he didn't have to give up a starter (in his new scheme) to get them. It wasn't until I added in a Center that the trade worked b/c my initial offerings wouldn't cut it (even though they represented more value on the surface).
I will put this out there. It was Skeets idea to switch to a 4-3 when we were making our trade. Matter of fact he's probably going to be pissed as all get out when he finds out I put the exclusive tag on Mario...But Yeh I had a plan and I'm sticking to it. Lol I never win this damn thing and thats ok. I have fun. Thats all that matters to me.
I still had interest but understandable. You don't have to explain. As long as you guys got what you wanted out of it, its all good.
Man, I cannot get much real trade interest. Just about all of my good players are on the block, but other than "what do you want for 'player x' ?" I have not gotten a whole lot of trade talk going. Doesn't anyone realize that on my previous teams I've traded guys like Big Ben, James Harrison, Larry Fitzgerald, and Adrian Wilson? I'm ready to make a blockbuster here. Where's Paul when you need him?
Still looking to deal Rivers and Geathers. Clements is also available...I could package him + a pick for a higher pick (ie. Clements and a 7th for a 5th, or Clements and a 5th for a 4th, etc...) PM me.
Tony Pashos is on the block, despite the Comissioner engaging in covert corporate espinage in an effort to undercut his value. PM me.
