Yes. Every team needs a primary scorer and that's melo's role. He is not a point forward like they are trying to make him. The thing with Carmelo is the ball sometimes stops moving when he gets it because he gets a lot of isolation plays run for him. He needs a pg controlling where the ball goes and when the team needs him to score.

Iguodala finally given his rightful due. 1st career all star selection. Josh Smith snubbed again imo.

That game looked like an old folks home let out at the playground.

Old people trading terrible shots. Embarrassing basketball.

Call me crazy but I find Josh Smith to be extraordinarily talented but inconsistent and really undeserving of an all star birth. Brandon Jennings, Pau Gasol and Rudy Gay have a bigger beef with not being selected...

I don't know, when two teams fail to break 90 points in an overtime game that is pretty damn lame offensively.

    nah.

Just because a game is close, doesn't make it good. The real contrast was the game that followed it on the double header. A Young up and coming team in Sacramento, playing with the West Leader OKC. The contrast was stark.

Brandon Jennings is already planning his way out of Milwaukee. Because if a team can't make you a contender in 2.5 years, they never will.

The snippet I read earlier on Rotoworld implied that it was more because Jennings wanted to play in a big market. He grew up in LA and there were rumors he was extremely upset with the Knicks (could be why he torches them every time he plays at MSG) for taking Jordan Hill and never really considering him. What I got out of it
is that it seems like more of a personal choice (big market vs small market)....which isnt hard to believe. Personally, I could never live in NYC for more then a year or two at a time and have always preferred Long Islands suburb lifestyle. Just a thought. Some people like that big city environment, others do not....

No. Wall is not an elite point guard yet. He has insane athleticism but needs some serious coaching and role players around him.

Agreed, wall is a stat monster but not a great player. He does not really make his teammates better but his teammates also leave a lot to be desired as they don't really make themselves better either.

    http://www.hoopsstats.com/basketbal...k-knicks/players/jeremy-lin/profile/12/20/296

Did a very brief look into Jeremy Lin's start of his career.

Did a search for which rookie had a better or equal start to his career (OFFENSIVELY) in the first three games.

There has only been one other player in NBA (modern) History (Modern as in all the data I could muster since 1980) to have had a better or equal first three games.

    His Name is Lebron James.

Edit: Sorry, offensive stats only, so 34 mins, 1-7 FGs, 5 pts, 6 assists, and 1 TO is incomparable to anyone else in the modern era, except for Lebron?

His "real" first three games didn't qualify. I only took starter minutes. SO I qualified Lin's last three games.

John Wall's offensive stats over his 1st 3 starts (his actual first 3 games of his career) look pretty comparable to Lin's.

His first game was really bad. It ruins him Heads up vs. Lin. In fact, his 4th game as a pro, till this day is the worst game of his career.

In other words, Lin is the greatest player in the universe. On a serious note though, if Lin does actually continue to play well, it could mean D'Antoni keeps his job. That has to have Knicks fans ****ting bricks.

If the NBA had started three games ago...then YES, Jeremy Lin would be the world's most dominant athlete.

Indeed R&R, not very happy about that. I'll give Coach Pringles credit though for giving a D-leaguer a chance when no one else would even if it was out of desperation.

No way he keeps his job though if this team doesn't win a round in the playoffs.

I've come to the conclusion that Hawes is easily the most important member of our team. Incredible how different our offense looks when he doesn't play. And not a good type of different either.

It looks like the Lakers defense isn't very good to me.

Not to say Lin isn't playing well too, but the Lakers don't look very good either.

Fair Warning. The Lakers suck. And they were on a second of a back to back after playing a overtime game versus the Boston Zombies.
