Two nights ago. They chanted MVP when he was on the stripe tonight.

The MVP chant was in jest. I was at the game tonight..it's because he was claimed off of waivers 3 weeks ago and performances like the game Saturday and tonight just are not found from waived players very often. Savor the moment I guess.

Who has the balls to point out to Knick fans that Lin had 8 turnovers tonight and he can't dribble with his left hand? oh, that's right, I do!

and you New Yorkers stole our "MVP" bit. We have been chanting MVP for THE WARDEN for damn near two years already, and we broke it out for Norris Cole as well. That is OUR thing.

I'm pretty sure every team does that. Hell, the Bulls chanted MVP as soon as Scalabrine entered the game and touched the ball.

I wouldn't say he brings nothing else to the table. Also, he doesn't score at a below average rate. 43% is average, IIRC. And he's an above average 3 point shooter, too. That's a major part of his game.

His PER is very solid, too. Career 15.2. It would be higher if you don't include his two seasons in New Orleans and just look at his 5 seasons in Denver. At one point his PER was 18.

When you consider how many 3's he takes it's not that bad. I'm on my phone now but I'll have to check his adjusted fg%

On JR Smith..he is an average SG as far as efficiency.

The Average SG shoots 43.6% from the field. JR SMith shot 43.5% last year. His TS% was 55%, the average SG shoots a TS% of 54.1

When you dig a little deeper, his true value seeps out:

His Wins Produced per 48 minutes is .153, while the average SG's is .099

So the true analysis on JR Smith is that he is an average SG offensively, but does almost everything else better than the average SG. So the narratives about a player that the media creates, are usually wrong.

Now, this is where it gets interesting. As compared to the best of Landry Fields last year, JR Smith is a vastly inferior player to Fields, in every aspect of his game. Fields' per48 WP was .253, while his TS% was 59.8%.

SO in the end, if Landry Fields gets back to playing like he did last year, JR Smith would be a DOWNGRADE.

Again, if the Knicks want me as GM, I can be had for low six figures and a per diem.

    Thank you.

2 problems I see with that though:

    1. Landry plays some 2 guard but he cant play like a 2 guard. He cant guard 2's, especially quicker ones or ones with a good first step. And hes not athletic enough especially compared to Shumpert. He's a 3, but hes playing out of position because of Gallo last season and Melo. Last season it wasnt a big deal because he was producing but now he is not which leads to point two...
    2. He may eventually establish himself at that level again but it wont be on the same team as Anthony imo. They are like oil and water. Landry's game does not compliment Melo at all, its actually quite similar. he needs to be able to shoot the midrange shot and Anthony usually clogs up that area because he hits those midrange shots better then anyone.

PER of 15 is exactly average. His career year is exactly 3 points higher than average.

He's a scorer only type of guy that scores at an inconsistent clip. If you're the Knicks, yeah why the hell not. But beyond that, I'd pass. Although I didn't realize he was as good from 3 as he was.

Spotty effort from Miami, but they closed out in the end. The Bron-Wade-Bosh-Miller-UD combo is starting to come together. THIS is what it was supposed to be like last year.
Im glad UD is finally getting in to his shooting groove, Im sure Battier will find his soon. Also, Miller is CONSTANTLY fighting for rebounds, ALWAYS under the rim.
Here comes the road trip and our back-to-back-to-back.

Defense was hot an cold until the 4th. We need more complete game efforts.

The B2B2B is just dumb. We end with the third or fourth best team
In the East on their court and they have two nights rest before the game. Nice FU from the league.

He also said that LBJ was the best player in the league by far. Which would make him (Larry Bird) a drooling idiot considering his earlier statement.

Actually there is a difference. And it's called killer instinct, hopefully for Lebron he either develops it or rides the coat tails of his teammates to a title.
