My wife said next week, but either way I've got my fingers crossed that Irving makes it (assuming Rondo doesn't because of injury).

Thanks. Can't see Irving making it though even though he's had a terrific rookie year. Rondo, Deron Williams, and Joe Johnson will probably be the reserve guards. Brandon Jennings would probably get in over Irving if any of those guys missed out.

Looks like Iguodala might finally make it as a reserve.

We can't beat the Heat. Don't know why but whatever. I'd feel much better if the Heat could beat us without being whiny *****es the whole game. Is there a whinier little ***** in the NBA than Wade?

He didn't earn any of the calls he was crying about today. They even replayed 2 of the times he was acting like a giant baby on the Sixers broadcast. Nothing. He's just a whiny *****, and it's quite pathetic if you ask me. Not as much so as Flop City over in Los Angeles, but close enough. You didn't see Iguodala whining when he was blatantly bumped in mid air by Joel Anthony during a dunk with no call. Nor did you see him complaining when he was blatantly pushed as he blew by LeBron. Thad Young complained today. That should tell you all you need to know. He doesn't complain. Ever.

Like I said, the Heat beat us fair and square aside from the joke officiating in the first 3 minutes of the 2nd quarter. Wouldn't surprise me Lou Williams and Brickadala are still throwing up bricks on the court as we speak. But. It makes it easy to hate the Heat when they have to resort to acting like women on the basketball court.

It's remarkable how upset you get when the Heat beat your team. Why are you complaining about whining when you admit the Heat beat the 76ers fair and square? Possibly because you don't actually believe that and are just using it as a fig leaf?

I hate whining and flopping, always have, always will. What makes it even worse, is the NBA could get rid of it easily if they wanted to. The NBA is taking a turn for the worst. Nobody cares about the sport as it is. Soon enough it will get to NHL levels of irrelevancy if they don't do something about it. If a player says one word to the refs... Technical. If a player flops... Technical.

And it's not just an NBA thing either. If a WR or QB complains to the refs... Flag, unsportsmanlike conduct. Maybe I'm just old school, but rewarding whining and acting in sports is at an all time high. I hate it.

I do hate the whining and flopping. Bleepin Celts are kings of that. NYK/Bos game was brutal to watch.

Now Im sure the media will also blame Carmelo for passing to open teammates (Shumpert and Fields) who chucked up and airball that wasnt even close(Fields) and settled for a 3 instead of driving when he had a lane (Shumpert).

Not really. Wade's crying was so evident, it was mentioned at least 3 times. Once as his whining led to a Sixers basket in transition. Another as the ball bounced off Wade out of bounds. A ball that would of been rebounded by Wade had he actually been paying attention to it instead of... well you guessed it, whining. And a third time as they came back from a commercial break, with the commentators making note that Wade spent the entire break speaking with refs, and then, as you would expect from a league that rewards whining instead of disciplining players for it, Wade was granted a foul the very first play.

Like I said, the Sixers lost fair and square. They were the ones bricking every shot in the 4th and then not getting back into transition. But to see a team that already gets favorable calls every game whining, it's just sad imo.

And it's not just a Heat thing either. Doug Collins rips the refs apart every single game. Most of the time he has a point. I still don't like it. Wait until the break and then tell the refs to watch out for whatever they're missing. Most of the time they do. That's how players should handle it too.

Wow. The heat get "every" call, yet they lead the league in paint points, yet they barely crack the top 15 pf calls in the paint.

No. The heat is just that ****ing good. When they feel like it, nobody beats them. Showdown game in philly? Take a 20 pt. Loss with ya.

Yes. Wade whines. Nobody attacks the rim like he does. He has to whine.

I never said they get every call. I said they whine, and it's rather sad. If a player says one word to a ref or flops, it should be a tech like it is in FIBA.

    well..I kinda agree with that.

But again. Wade DOES whine IMO, too much. But his game dictates that he must whine, if he feels that he is not getting calls. It's working the refs. All players do it. BTW, Wade is a Technical foul machine at times.

It does work. I can't argue with that. Sixers need to beat whatever team in the 1st round, the Bulls in the 2nd, and lobby Dwight to come here in the offseason. Should be good for a +5 fouls in our favor.

If they officiated the games 100% clean and accurate, Miami would be even more dominant.

Every team gets favorable calls and bad ones. The Heat are gonna get their share because they've got two of the world's best finishers and they play like it.

Wade does whine too much and we give up points on the other end because of it. He was much worse last season, but you still see it.

This bugs me more than anything (and I'm not just referring to the Heat) when I see it. It's one thing to argue/whine with/to the refs during a stoppage, but it's another when you're allowing the other team's offense to play 4 on 5 for most (or all) of a possession. If I were a coach, it'd drive me insane and I'd have little patience for it.
