Ricky Williams showed up to offseason workouts in "tip-top shape" and indicated he thinks the Dolphins will use a committee at running back this season. Williams says he turned down Cedric Benson's invitation to join him for a recent Lake Travis boating trip. Smart move. In their first meeting, Ricky says Bill Parcells told him he'll share carries with Ronnie Brown this year. Parcells and coach Tony Sparano have long been fans of running back committees. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/Home_NFL.aspx Source: Palm Beach Post Related: Ronnie Brown
I was thinking the same thing. It's promising to see Ricky focused on football, for a change. Hopefully he can come back and make some contributions for us this year.
Great read. I am very glad to hear this. Glad to see he is trying to stay away from the troubled characters. Interesting that Benson invited him because Benson said he has tried to distance himself as far way as possible from Ricky so he is not compared in any way, shape or form.
Truth is he was probabally too high to get off his couch. Everybody can love him if they want, but I still don't want him and don't trust him.
He is probably not the same player anymore but here is a little nostalgic action from the 2002 season.
Really appreciate the videos CT. It reminded me of the past, what a shame where he has come since then. I remember when I first started watching football in 01 I believe it was and then I saw Ricky run. I thought he was simply the greatest player EVER lol, shows I knew nothing back than (waiting for the joke..). But he is a great talent and I just wish he could do what he did back in those days. Favorite player ever.
nice read, and thanks for the vids. Nice to see ricky from his prime for us. Hopefully he can stay focused on the team this year. I think him and ronnie behind this new offensive line is going to be quite the impressive site to see, and it will definately make life easier for whichever young QB we end up starting.
If Ricky William can be half as good as he was and we had Ronnie Brown back and healthy we would unstoppable. Good move Ricky Williams by not going on that boat
Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams baby Ronnie Brown Ricky Williams http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jc68d2vEXM
That 50+ yard run against the Jets was so freaking awesome it still gets me juiced up even today... Man I hope he can come back and make a few plays like that this season...
Don't worry, I won't celebrate him doing anything this season. I see it one of three ways: 1. He gets hurt and doesn't play all season. 2. He flakes out and quits again. 3. Suspended Don't forget to be pissed off at him again when he screws us AGAIN!
Sorry bro, my trust is earned not just given and he has definately not done anything to redeem himself.
Then what do you call the time he spent in Boston. At least he is trying. I would say that the time he spent there(I believe it was 6 months) is one way he is trying to "redeem" himself?
Boston is not the Miami Dolphins and he has done nothing but hurt this organization recently. I guess because he played in Toronto I should forgive him too? Don't think so.

Hopefully he'll be traded by the Week 6 deadline for future picks. I mean, Parcells has a hard on for JT, but he's going to coddle RW after all of his stunts? I CALL BULL****.
What I hope is that RW stays focus and be a positive addition to the Dolphins, considering that he's got the ability in the world and be a force. The fact that you are not able to forgive him is your opinion and I do respect that.
No worries, I do understand everyone is different and that is great. That's the purpose of this site, so everyone can express thier varied opinions. The Admins do a great job of keeping it civilized because some take it personally and snap back and that is uncalled for. I also hope others know I am just expressing my point of view and not taking shots at anyone as I do respect their opinions even if they differ from mine.
honestly, if his head is back into football, i can see him in that O.J. Anderson role. not outstanding #'s but keeping the O going while Ronnie recovers/rests. "Mister Anderrrson!"
