i'm wondering how they can effectively add new/closer seating w/o a major tearout and overhaul. I suppose they could be level with the field back to where the current seats are but that would make for sucky seating, IMO.

DJ, I cannot believe you just asked me why I continue to have this answer. If you did not bring it up a thousand times, no one would hear a peep out of me is one answer. The other one is this. I do not play the tapes of Mike Dee backwards because I'm not into sumbliminal messages. lol

He, nor any executive for the Miami Dolphins have never once said that their reasons are to make the Dolphins players play better, harder, faster due to the experience that the fans will bring. That's just BS imo...

The reason they want to do upgrades is to make money by creating something for the fans. Not for the fans to make this team of highly paid professionals play harder, faster and much less, better....

You've started 20 similar threads about this same subject, and constantly comment in other threads about how ****ty we are as fans. Having been to more games than most Dolphins fans, in both venues, I sure the hell know about it, and even moreso, I give more **** about this team than most as well. I put tons of money into this team. Tons of time invested in going to games, and tons of time spent with sore throats, headaches from screaming my *** off for them..........

So I will continue to express my feelings here in these threads you make and will continue to disagree with how you feel it reads....sorry but thats what these forums are for. Debating and sharing opinions.

Because it is a great human experience. To not feel those goosebumps while at a show is kind of sad.

Well that pretty much ended with the first home game. The crowd was roudy as hell, and the defense got their asses handed to them on a platter.

To be even close to a playoff team in 2011 the team needed to improve on the field, not in the stands.

I mean I enjoy the music. I'm sorry my hair follicles didn't act accordingly. It certainly didn't make my physically stronger or faster. I'm sure if I were trying to do something else while at the concert, I'd probably be distracted.

I think it's like 3500 seats that were to be added. That's not getting much closer and can be done without changing the slope of the lower bowl.

The correct thing to do would be gut the inside and rebuild it all. Bringing the lower bowl closer while increasing the angle. Then raise, and bring the skyboxes closer so the upper deck would have something to stand on by bring them forward.

what other team?, the 12 teams that came into our stadium and beat us in a row..

Because they have no distractions, nothing bothers them, so its like playing on a neutral field with great grass, and no crowd noise to deal with..ahhhhhh, sounds nice..

Thatswhat we are..lol..Sun Life stadium, AKA..The neutral field...lol

yes it does...The team wasn't good enough to win a superbowl, but they definitely weren't bad enough to go 1 and 12...How does it make you feel that your team hates playing at home...for good reason too...I don't blame 'em.

Thats because dorks are not prof athletes, no science geek can understand how a prof athlete draws energy from a crowd..Its common sense in a violent game...if the energy in the stadium is passive and lazy, science tells me that there is a greater chance that the the team filled with human beings might pick up on that and change their psyche..Quite elementary if you ask me..

You don't need to be a dork to run statistical analysis. If an athlete were affected by it, there would be proof supporting the theory.

Schmoot, you and Ozzy I like very much, but your little tandem of defense is getting ridiculous, especially when professionals that run the organization are telling you strait to your faces there is a problem..Ya'll are the ones who look silly in this case..

I'am sorry both of you cannot conceptualize what most of us are saying to you..the fact that you keep telling me to go back and look at preschnell is all the words I need to see that you haven't a clue as to what Iam talking about, the fact that Oz keeps thanking your posts tells me he doesn't get it either...

Its ok, you completely disagree with Mike dee, its no big deal, just keep it status quo, and get better players..

Move along then, nothing to see here..

1 and 12 is happenstance....lol...the fu&^ing team hated their fans for a season...

Explain how two seasons ago this team did not win one game at home yet did so well on the road? Maybe the opponents fans felt sorry for the Miami Dolphins players and "created" the atmosphere for them?

And before you say the players were just glad to be out of Miami, stop because thats bullcrap

I don't believe our fans our bad, I believe our stadium creates a passive behavior..from beginning {which is half way thru the first quarter} to leaving in the third quarter when were up..

The rare times where the fans actually get engaged it still is not enough to rattle an opponent like it can do in other venues.

First of all Deej, I am not in tandem with anyone. I come here alone and I do not PM people to get them on my side.

Secondly, I do not look one bit silly here. You're the one making all these threads about JRS. Its not anyone but you and until you get Mike Dee to come out and say in PLAIN ENGLISH the exact same things you think you're saying, then it is you who don't get it.

I'm going to continue to comment when I feel the need though.

I started this thread because of the comments by one of our exec's and the real plan they have in place to change something that I have wanted desperately to change.

For you to tell me its the same bothers me..its news worthy, and an important topic on our future.

because they don't like the vibe of their home stadium, and don't get emotionally up for the game like they do when they are away.

Man, I had to reread this to make sure but dude you just insulted the **** out of me, and you need to stop. I dont go around thanking peoples posts to get them in tandem to be against you. If anything then you would be quilty of that same thing. Go back and see how many times you thanked Todd. Thats bull****! Whomever agrees with you is great. Whomever don't its just debate

You have no idea EXACTLY what Mike Dee means. Never once has his words came close to what you keep telling us it means. Telling me I dont get it is another crock of crap because YOU are the one insinuating the meaning of it, not me.

  26. Ozzy

I only read a couple of his posts but still, you keep on with the Oz don't get it stuff and yet Mike Dee's exact words are nothing as to what you're trying to tell us they mean.

He could come out tomorrow and say its because of money. OR he could come out and say Deej is right......but until then you're speculating on it.

your right about that point, I didn't mean that like that, I'am not trying to insult you QZ, you know that deep down, If you read all the posts you will see I was responding to Schmoots post exactly like he did to me, calling me ridiculous and what not..

Now whether I believe you know exactly where I'am coming from, and understand my thoughts... no I don't, were in full disagreement philosophically.

Respectfully, that's not what he's saying, Oz. He's saying the stadium is preventing Dolphin fans from being as good a fans at home as we could be, hence the improvements needed to the stadium rather than improvements to the fans. But I will say, a pack of Dolphin fans at an established "Miami Dolphins" bar in NC are noticeably less spirited as a group than a quarter the number of Steeler or Raven fans at a normal NC sports bar.

I completely agree, but with the parity of the NFL, something as seemingly insignificant as one extra win in a season could mean the difference between a playoff birth and SB run verse watching it at home from your couch. Personally, I want every advantage I can get.

The Miami Dolphins suck as an organization right now, the Steelers and Ravens give their fans a reason to drink up and celebrate. Miami gives me a reason to get wasted and stop caring about football...and most assuredly stop paying $400 for a hot Sunday out to lose my voice, defend my home city against belligerent opposing fans, and just generally feel crappy driving home.

Yeah, you definitely aren't an auditory person, so for you to dismiss the affect b/c you, yourself, don't experience would be a mistake.

I'm an auditory person. Kinesthetic, too. I can tell you from today's experience alone the affect that loudness, pitch, and tone has after spending a few hours sifting through youtube listening to the roar of some of those engines, and for that duration I was perked up with an obvious release of endorphins. Actually hearing those cars live? I can probably recall most of the instances where I heard one open up the throttle.

And it's not just the sound, it's the waves of vibration felt from the sound. Not to be racist, but have you not noticed that a significant percentage of young black males enjoy rap music? You've heard of that, right? :tongue2: How about the prominent bass tones that accompany it? That's a similar sensation to feeling the sound of 70,000 energetic fans.

Which of the senses perks your head up a bit when experienced?

Those were some late 4th qtr games right? Isn't that the time when players wear down, especially in close games like these where it's mentally more draining?
yeah, but 2 didn't go the other way. With an improved stadium leading to improved fan energy & spirit, then 2 of those games my very well have gone the other way since they were 4th qtr games. And dont tell me the talent on our roster and QB play is worse than Cleveland, NY, and Buffalo's. Now you're really reaching to substantiate your argument.

b/c sound's affects on us are amazing (if you're an auditory person)...... but you have your own enjoyments from other senses we likely dont experience to nearly the same degree, so it probably balances out.

I didn't dismiss it because of my own experiences. I dismissed it because the scientific research indicates it doesn't have an affect.

I wouldn't agree. I listen to music as often as possible. But I don't believe it increases my athletic ability. I usually even pause my music when I'm working out, and start playing again between sets.
