I love brandon marshall but really he was playing flag football last night. The probowl is less competitive than a preseason game and I don't bother even watching it
Lets not get crazy with thats what a real qb can do for him because that wasn't real football last night and this is coming from a brandon marshall supporter.

Marshall had more catches, yards, and his average yards per catch were higher than Chambers.

Plus, there's the fact that Chambers never established himself as an great to elite receiver while Marshall has.

Btw, using your logic, Chambers is better than Andre Johsnon, considering Andre never even reached doube digit touchdowns in Houston.

That's not what extended it. Someone is just trolling really hard right now, so we have to put him in his place.

You guys need to be locked in a room with foam noodles for a week. Marshall had a great PB game and it was exactly that a PB game. But it tickled all your asses with a feather, both good & bad. He is player that makes this team better and has room for improvement.

I only hope that **** carries over to when it counts and he breaks every single season Dolphin and NFL receiving stat.

That's true! The fact that Marshall was 2nd in dropped passes is awful and the reason why those people talk "crap" and are disappointed! He better stop dropping those passes and the "crap" talking from those people will stop, if not it will continue as long as he drops a lot of passes! I hope he'll stop it with a better QB throwing to him in 2012!

Matt Moore is not even close to elite but you see, even though I like him, I want a better Qb.

KB, you have done nothing but show hate for Brandon Marshall for as long as I can remember. I'm guessing it's because you think he is a wife beater.

Now with that said. There were at least 3 of those passes that you call drops by Marshall that simply were not. Two were terrible passes by the Qb. One was knocked out of his hands on it as soon as he touched it. The defender made a GREAT play on the ball.

And yes, the best Qb's in the game are called that for a reason. They put the ball where it is supposed to be with the correct mustard on it. Mustard! A term you used to use quite often back in the day.

When did Marshall become an elite receiver? I must have missed that.

The 0-7 start was partially due to BM's dropping TD passes. The last 9 games were not meaningless, when they effected the playoff chances of some opponents and the future regular season jobs for current players on the roster.

You can spin it any way you like, a Pro Bowl game is not the same as any regular season game. Feel free to live in the fantasy world where all the Pro Bowl defensive players were giving the same effort as they did in the regular season. The game has devolved into nothing more than a glorified version of a sandlot game or flag on the beach.

Uhhh, yeah, those of us who watched all the games in a completely sober condition did see some passes that pretty to BM this past season

I didn't say he was elite and don't think he's elite. I only think there are three elite receivers today.

He is a top 5 to top 10 receiver, though. The sooner you accept that the better.

I dislike any and all wide receivers that put themselves ahead of the team the way Brandon Marshall has, but I especially despise human beings who have the physical stature that Brandon Marshall has and take out their aggression on helpless women. A wide receiver's job is to catch the football when it is thrown to him and keep his mouth shut. Brandon Marshall doesn't do either very well at all.

Nice catch. I did say that. But I said great to elite, and I believe he's a great player who's shown he can be elite. Chambers has never done that.

You're blaming Smith's bad performance in 2010 on Matt Moore? Now, I've heard everything.

Well, if Chris Chambers hasn't done it, then neither has Brandon Marshall. Catching 100+ passes does not make you an elite receiver. Brandon Marshall hasn't even reached O.J. McDuffie territory as far as being a receiver for the Miami Dolphins goes. He will never be on the same level as Paul Warfield, who was the definition of a selfless player who only cared about winning.

Brandon Marshall has proved to be a great receiver throughout his career, top 5 to many people in fact, while Chambers never did. He had good seasons in his career, yes. But he's never established himself in his career the way Marshall has.

Except to you of course. But then again, using your logic, Chambers is better than Andre Johnson.

If you want some facts about Steve Smith and the Panthers of 2010, it is 100% totally ridiculous for anyone to infer that the reason Smith had his worst season was because of Moore. Then when doing so, get something like 6 fist pumps??? SMFH over that one.

So exactly when has Andre Johnson shown the propensity towards dropping touchdown passes that Brandon Marshall has shown? I'm just curious, since Brandon has apparently established himself as an elite receiver. I want to see how many touchdown passes the other elite receivers drop.

Which average WR did Marino look great? Duper? Clayton? Moore? Fryar? Ingram?

One of the NFL's all-time great receiving trios of Clayton, Duper, and Moore allowed Marino to have a few of the greatest single QB passing seasons in NFL history (averaging 4600 yards, 41 TDs, and a 95 QBR over 3 straight seasons).

After this trio dissolved with Nat Moore's departure, Marino broke 30 TDs and 90+ QB Rating only once (and 4000 yards 3 times) in 13 seasons. Coincidence?

Great WRs & TEs allowed Marino to perform to his potential and fulfill a HOF career IMO.

Yeah but Chambers had that elite franchise QB throwing him the ball. The same kind of QB that BM pines for. What was his name again? Oh wait. Never mind.

Warfield is a HOFer. Brandon could be one level down from Warfield and still become a HOF WR.

It has nothing to do with him running his mouth or placing himself before the team. You've proven it in the past that you judge players as you see fit and convict them with your prejudice.

A Wr does not catch over 100 passes because he does not do it very well....

    Jim Jensen maybe?

Keith Byars, the 4th all-time reception leader for running backs who saw more production in Philly?

Keith Jackson, 6x ProBowl, 1st round TE who performed no better with Marino than he did Cunningham?

1st rounder,McDuffie, who broke 1,000 yards only once in 8 years? Some could call that underachieving.

Tony Martin who had his 2 best seasons in SD with Stan Humphries (175 catches, 2200+ yards, 20 TDs)??

Fryar had his 2 best seasons with a mix of Ty Detmer, Rodney Peete, and Bobby Hoying.

    hey Oz.........Shaddup. :tongue2:

Almost every single, average Wr that he threw too. Marino is no where near a favorite of mine but he put the ball on the money and especially at midrange.

IMO great receivers allowed Marino to become one of the all-time great passers that he had it in him to be, just as other great ones before & after followed similar suit.
